Well, it's a cabbage. I hit the garden since it's spring here, and most 11.11.11 shots are likely to be northern hemisphere. I like the light and the shapes.

This is what happened when I started the reversible cabled Palindrome Hat, only to decide to cross cables whenever I felt like it. I came up with a lovely pattern, actually, but decided I had a better idea: Work the palindrome scarf pattern in a tube, but then near the end, work a row of eyelets, then a few more rows, then bind off. Make a drawstring, and bingo: Cowl/hat convertible awesomeness.
I have since frogged this and completed my idea, and let me tell you, it is definitely awesome. (okay so I finished it like right before going to bed last night, so I don't have pics yet, so sorry for the evidence-less bragging!) Also, sorry for the crappy pics of this version; it was the middle of the night, I had insomnia, and wanted to capture what I'd done before frogging it.

It's about 3/4 done but it's knitting much slower than I expected. And it's not hard at all! It's just a 2x2 rib with a 4x4 cable knit every 7th row.
I is so awesome though and the most elaborate thing I've knit to date and I love love love it.
I wish I could get a decent picture of the real color but no matter what I do, it never comes out right. So just pretend it's a deeper grape-y purple with burgandy-ish highlights.

Palindrome Thirsty Thurs: 9/19/19 at 9AM and 19 seconds.... a great reason to stop and take a Selfie!!! Headed to the Marina where we stopped for our HIIT Station...on the way back, I told them to run back to Ave C and finish it off going up the stairs 3 times....Cat Woman visualized it 3 times...not sure if she really did it OMG HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH!! While they were running sprints, I was taking pictures of Ellie-Girl and Wailee and imagining their conversation ... probably something like this,
Wailee: I had my last chemo treatment yesterday. As a prize, they gave me this Survivor Scarf. You like it?
Ellie Girl: What's chemo? Not really impressed with the scarf. I'm more in to the Aloha Vibe...you know, Hawaiian prints?
Wailee: I have no idea what chemo is, but they stuck needles in my leg and put medicine in it 16 times!!
Ellie Girl: (SIDE EYE MOMENT).....Oh man...I'm sorry...that's stinks.....OK, I like your scarf. It's a nice color.
Wailee: Thanks....now let's stop talking and check out that squirrel at 1:00!!!
Ellie Girl: Ohhhhh....it's flicking her tail at us!! WOOOOF WOOOOOOOFFF!!
Great stuff NP, RL, CW and AG!!

Tattarrattat = the longest palindrome. It is in the oxford english dictionary. Coined by James Joyce, it means a knock at the door. Thanks wikipedia! (+ 15 PTS (hopefully))
