Bosc pears at our first Sunday sort -- we're thankful for volunteer groups who've stepped up to help us sort the ton after ton of fresh produce we're getting these days!
Crossed pair - it delivers a jolt to the hand like the flick of a fingernail followed immediately by a stinging burning sensation that spreads in a 5 cm radius.
Pair of draft Belgians being exercised at the Fryeburg Fair in Maine. The shot was overexposed and out of focus, but I liked it anyway...

These male and female bluebirds were perched close to their nest. It's hard enough to get a good shot of one, much less a pair in the same place. Photo taken in Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge in southern Illinois
A pair of Canada Geese at the pipeline cut at Norristown Farm Park. These birds are likely of the Giant Canada Geese subspecies (Branta canadensis maxima). The subspecific identification is based upon these birds' large size, overall light coloration, lack of any white at the base of the neck sock, a large bill that blends with the forehead profile and cheek patches that rise very high on the head. This subspecies is our local breeding subspecies of Canada Goose, and this pair may be contemplating nesting locations at Norristown Farm Park. (Photographed at Norristown Farm Park, East Norriton, PA)
Pair of ducks on the pond at Luther Britt Park. My wife and I enjoy visiting this park and since it was a nice day I came for a few photos. This pair were together the entire time I visited the park today.
