Twenty photos of a still life of a pair and a cloth, joined together in the collage style of a 'David Hockney Joiner'.

My code 3 models of Lincolnshire Road Car ECW bodied Leyland Olympians 1501 B501FFW and 1503 B503FFW in original dual purpose livery. To make these models the EFE model was dismantled, the Titan roof dome filed off and the paint stripped off to bare metal. After priming the main colours were sprayed on and the detail applied with brush painting. With trial and error I've found a way of best replicating the incredibly complicated "venetian blind" livery, a small amount of artistic licence is needed because of the poor shape of the EFE model with regard to the windscreen recess and side proportions but I've done the exact number of stripes on each bit adjusting thicknesses where needed. The interiors are also my own which I had 3D printed with the correct seat layout upstairs at the front and correct stairway orientation.

I don't remember ever having a pair of class 56's, until now that is! BARS locos 56311 and 56303 at Ruddington GCR(N) waiting to back onto the stock for a run to Loughborough and back. There are plans to reinstate the bank and bridge over the Midland Main Line to reunite the two ends of the Great Central, indeed the bridge decks lie in a yard at Loughborough, donated by Network Rail after recent removal from Reading. I can just remember the old bridge before it's demolition in 1980.

The two 56's were brought in for the weekend and the left loco, 56311, still bears the signs of it's time with Colas Rail, whilst 56303 is in DCR green and looks rather smart. Large logo blue would be better though :D

Bus stops should be paired for two directions of travel.

my favorite thing is when I hear bald eagles before I see them. I could head this pair calling way before I was close enough to figure out where they were.

Pair of Great Horned Owls calling last night in my neighborhood. They may be the same pair as last year.

Lovely flower beetles. The Cetoniinae are called guldbaggar ("golden beetles") in Swedish, despite none of the European species being yellow. The red colours above are due to the queer optics of the shell, which reflects different colours in different directions.

Since shooting film almost exclusively this year, I feel my internal editor has gotten much better. But sometimes you need to just get out and shoot. This morning I took a walk around the neighborhood just to see, used digital, and don't feel guilty about it. It's just a tool.
