In line at the coffee shop, looking off somewhere yet not looking. The iPad snapshot this is based on was somewhat out of focus and a bit underexposed, and had a horribly pixelated texture -- I wanted to see if I could smudge away the worst artifacts and blurriness and save some of her distant expression. I admit the result is slapdash and sloppy. Done with the iPad app Procreate.
I don't know why the photographers all want stealthy cameras, like a Leica, 'cause apparently we were much louder than the painters.

Taking a break in Whitehall, London. Note the re-painted telephone box - I guess the Olympics aren't all bad, at least London is being cleaned up!
Polders Poelgeest is a small area of "new nature" in the neighborhood of Leiden. In spring and autumn it is popular by birdwatchers.
painterperth.net - Hiring Painters Perth, though, necessitates considering costs and expenses. After all, commercial or house painting isn’t exactly something that you can have for free. Call us plus.google.com/110623581057554891901/about?hl=en

Etienne Rey (1789-1867) was a French painter. He was one of the first professors at the École des Beaux-Arts of Lyon, as well as director of the Vienna Museum and School of Fine Arts. An excellent teacher, he published a manual on the art of encaustic painting and was member of several societies of artists. Rey travelled to the East at an advanced age, in 1843, in the company of his co-worker painter Α. Chenavard and architect J.M. Dalgabio. They started out from Marseilles, arrived in Greece by way of Italy and Malta, and toured Greece, Asia Minor and part of Egypt during five months.
Rey's engravings, which show subjects from Athens during Otto's reign, and images from the Peloponnese, Central Greece, Syros, Istanbul, the Troad and Smyrna area, were published approximantely twenty years after his voyage, because Rey wished to lithograph his original drawings himself. He died before his works could be published. The plates are accompanied by side notes on the journey, in the style of diary entries. The coloured engravings which show the monuments rather resemble watercolours.

Bunun nedeni Rey'in kendi eskizlerinin gravürlerini kendisinin kazımak istemesidir. Ancak Rey yapıtlarının basılmış halini göremeden ölür. Yolculukla ilgili bilgiler günlük misali notlar biçiminde sayfa kenarında gravürlere eşlik etmekte. Sonradan renklendirilmiş olan gravürler, özellikle tarihî anıtları görüntüleyenler, suluboya resimleri andırmaktadır.

Snap shot taken in Edinburgh, made me wonder who is she? where is she going? where has she been ? little clues like the paint on her clothes make me imagine canvases and paints, with the sweat of creativity.
Painter (and sometimes DJ) Stewart's new exhibition is on at Barefoot Colombo. Worth catching. The vibe has changed, become more sombre than his last. The palette may be muted but at the same time, structurally at least, there seems more freedom than before. I'm going back to have a look and a think.
A mural on the side wall of an old car repair shop in the town of Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan. The painter on the left side appears to be waving to the other figures after completing his work. At the left, if you look closely, you can see that the corner of the building is rounred, which was common in earlier days.
