I'm not a big fan of Sears's overalls, but I liked the look of these because you don't often see painters' overalls with the traditional bib pocket. (Painters' overalls usually have a large wide-open triangular pocket.) I like these, though they fit slightly snugger than I usually like (they will probably wear in a bit and I still plan to shrink a little myself). Also, I greatly dislike the hardware on Sears's overalls. I retained the actual buckle, but I replaced the strap-adjuster part with a set I harvested from an old pair that went away. The Sears adjusters have actual sharp teeth on them which prevent them moving easily, which I find irritating.
After all that, I do like these and I will get some wear out of them this summer! Painters' overalls are nice because the white drill material is lighter and cooler than actual denim. I have no idea if these are vintage or not.

Kam is an artist friend who needed some photos for his new website. He is an amazingly gifted painter. I'll post the link when it's live. I have no idea which photo he'll choose but this is my favourite from our session. :)
This guy was a cap painter -- using spray paint and markers, he would turn a plain old baseball cap into a personal (and sartorial) work of art. On Broadway in Lower Manhattan.

With a swim, dinner and exploding rocks behind us, my friend and I sat by the lake shore to watch the sun go down.
We were treated to some beautiful colours this evening, which created beautiful, painterly patterns on the waves of David Lake.
P.S. I discovered the panorama shooting mode on my camera lol!

Homework for day #10
I tried this editing on a few images (more in my photostream) and I do love the special mood it adds to the buildings. It's kind of heavy, but it's nice to experiment :)
Used kk_sienna, kk_finale and the vintage gradient. Thanks so much!
Thank you for your comments.
This guy paints trippy techno-psychedelia while dance and house music pump out of his boom box. You can find him at the entrance to the bridge to Penn's Landing, at Second and South streets.
You can't see it here, but he also has a cool Star of David tat on his right bicep. I really want to come back here some time and ask him if I can shoot him more extensively.
