Piet Mondrian was a Dutch painter and one of our most influential 20th-century artists. He is best known for moving away from realistic painting toward a completely abstract style that used only basic elements.
Born: March 7, 1872, in Amersfoort, Netherlands. Died: 1944 in New York.
Mondrian was a pioneer of abstract art and best known for capturing "universal beauty" through pure geometry. He developed a style he called Neoplasticism with most of his works characterized by -
Primary Colors: Red, blue, and yellow.
Non-Colors: White, black, and gray.
A few spring flowers are starting to bloom again in "my" meadow. It's a strange feeling, because the whole thing is dying, drying up, heading towards the inevitable fall, but these few flowers are screaming that they prefer spring, despite the coming winter.

this was a paint on a real estate agent building, on highway .
On the banks of the river, in the Tarn region the village of Monestiés is classified among the most beautiful in France.
Huddling around the church of St Pierre, the village has many reminders of the glories of the past: vestiges of the medieval fortifications, half-timbered houses with jettied out upper floors, arcaded square, the 12th century bridge used by pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela...
the Chapel of Saint Jacques houses an amazing statuary group from the 15th century.
the Bajen-Vega Museum, which presents the pieces of a spanish couple of painters, who were political refugees.
the botanical path beside the Cérou river, ideal for a family walk.

My favorite model, my granddaughter Tara paints with water colors. She has a big yellow flower in her hair that she didn't want to take off.
