She walked around all day
Lost in her inheritance
Alice looking for the rabbit
Or maybe a lama to set her straight
At the edge of night
In the midst of a Las Vegas potporri
Of light and sound a pin ball machine existance
She stood and stared at the enter sign
And sighed................and walked away.......
I decided to go for black & white on the same shot as the previous two background bokeh images. Interesting to feel the difference.
On the banks of the river, in the Tarn region the village of Monestiés is classified among the most beautiful in France.
Huddling around the church of St Pierre, the village has many reminders of the glories of the past: vestiges of the medieval fortifications, half-timbered houses with jettied out upper floors, arcaded square, the 12th century bridge used by pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela...
the Chapel of Saint Jacques houses an amazing statuary group from the 15th century.
the Bajen-Vega Museum, which presents the pieces of a spanish couple of painters, who were political refugees.
the botanical path beside the Cérou river, ideal for a family walk.
An extremely rare event for me, in fact I can tell you the last time I went out to dinner and it was on 11th September 2001.
And the reason I went out to dinner. Very good friends of mine who I have known forever flew in from California today and paid us a visit.
Lynn is American, Andy Oz and it was SO good to catch up with them. Lots of hugs and kisses because we all know I am a kissy, kissy, huggy, huggy person.
So, I took this photo just prior to going out to prove to myself more than anything that I still know how to dress up!
My Mug shot got explored lol #490 30th October
In the zone
a kick-flick
at the curb
foot push
and then
he’s rolling
skimming
what morning
brings past
the bakery
glazed eyes
hardware
store where
summer flares
are now marked
down, doggie
at the window
snapping air
to get at him
who glides
as on a wave
and then he’s
in a groove
tunes rocking
in his head
the day cool
and crystalline
and smooth
all the way
to the end

This is a view of the scaffolding used by the painters on the supports of the Forth Rail Bridge, apparently they are now using a new type of long lasting paint so the old cliche "like painting the Forth Bridge" used to describe a job that is never finished, will no longer be relevant! The photo was taken from a launch taking birding enthusiasts for an evening cruise bird spotting on the Firth of Forth. It was quite an overcast and hazy evening and I have used some artistic licence creating the orange sky!
Much edited sunset image near Madera Canyon, Az.
A spot I really would like to spend the rest of my life.
Campbell River / Vancouver Island / British Columbia / Canada
The Painter's Lodge has an old history since its founding in 1929. In the late 1920's, salmon fishing in the Campbell River became so popular. In the early days, the Painter consisted of some of the popularity of promoting the construction of a lodge. Many notables made Painter a top fishing destination in BC. Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, John Wayne and Susan Hayward are just some of the stars that visited Painter.
