This year the town 's-Hertogenbosch celebrated the 500th anniversary of the (famous) painter Jeroen Bosch. His work is known for its fantastic imagery, detailed landscapes, and illustrations of religious concepts and narratives. It was a big hype this year, so the local Fantastival sported quite a few characters that could have escaped from one of his paintings.

Vintage photo day at the market.I don't suppose I will ever find out who it is, but the names in the paperwork in the suitcase were Hayes, Baker, Pullen and Palethorpe

The inner part of the kylix (cup) shows an athlete holding an “aryballos”, vessel for oil, with his right hand.

Behind him it’s possible to recognize a stool, a staff and a couple of “halters” suspended in the background.

On the external surface of the kylix, between eyes, a Doric column behind a horse and a youth with a staff are depicted

The first set of waterfalls on Painter Creek. A much larger waterfall is just downstream from this one. This one is located just off the road, but a tricky climb down the steep embankment is needed to get to creek level.

Testing the bokeh of a Nikon 200mm f/4 AI manual focus lens, with aperture closed down one stop to f/5.6. The boken effect is quite painterly.
