I have no idea what these lads are singing. . . but I might work on some of their snappy dance moves. . .
Tras varios meses de obras para sustituir las enormes tuberías del agua, unos operarios tomando el asfalto como lienzo, dan los últimos toques "artísticos".

I invite you to visit my Workers album ".
Brickworks, Toronto, Canada.
That year the fall was very “slow”. I visited Brickworks many times trying to track its development and the change. On one morning things just came together. There was a bit of morning fog, the early sunlight was gentle and there were still few leaves which contrasted nicely with the yellowed grasses.
Two students from the Kansas City Art Institute find a quiet garden spot at the Nelson Atkins Art Museum. . .
All elements either photographed or made by me except fish which were a freebie from photoshop creative.
Today I have been experimenting with taking painterly photos, but I have been struggling to get the aperture low enough so the results aren't quite what I was expecting.
The St. Louis Blues won their first ever Stanley Cup championship in professional ice hockey over the Boston Bruins. Named after Lord Stanley of Preston, Governor General of Canada who enjoyed ice hockey, the silver cup has been present annually since 1892 -- and from the Blues' first season in 1967 until now, St Louis had never won. A great weekend to everyone!
We have gathered
across the roadway
from each other, those
who gaze impassively
at us and we who seem
an apparition, for the moment,
a middle day of summer,
the sorrow that has plagued
us for weeks lifting slowly
like a mist that brings
those others not us
into some relief, the tall
man wiping his forehead,
the woman searching
in her bag, two boys
with empty eyes
on this windless day
when the shadows
of clouds seem another
weight fallen upon us,
but we hear their silence
as they drift overhead
as they stand and wait
as the clouds split apart
and a sudden illumination
instructs us to walk
and we do, toward them.

A little farm scene that caught my eye...a tall windmill, several fences, outbuildings...could you ask for anything more?

Mornings in the Fall of the year are the most beautiful to me. I love all the color and the wispy clouds that drift in the early hours of the day. Now I have to figure out how to keep getting myself out of bed so I can get out there.
Thanks for stopping by
I went out early this morning in my yard and shot over 100 clicks and deleted most.. I am so obsessed! The Mosquitoes are doing well!
Well, this is from a photo of my Christmas tree which I put up today but it looks nothing like this in 'real life'!
Textured with textures from the new pack to be released in the next few days!
Happy Wednesday everyone!
Nothing better than waking up to a snow day -- no school! Then warring armies of snowballers, building snowmen and sledding down the tallest hill in town. . .
I took this shot last week in one of the mountains of Topanga Canyon, CA. I know there used to be a small river on this very spot but probably it dried up since it's summer and too hot this year.
Miss Zidi Wu
from Chongqing
poses stiffly
at military attention
before the beast
to memorialize
the moment
she will only half-recall
later for her parents
who only leave their village
to sell vegetables
at the moonlight market,
while her classmates
who await their turn
for their photo
will not notice her
step to the side
and quietly
begin to cry
