Just a rose…
Unfortunately this isn’t one of my plants. I spotted it in beautiful bloom, leaning over the wall of a fellow villager. No, the rose, not me [sigh].
This is a straight colour image, but it forms the first in a set that I prepared for Sliders Sunday yesterday. Sadly I wasn’t able to publish the set then so that will have to wait until next Sunday. There are nine in the Petal Pack set currently which is rather a lot to publish at one go, in any case, so I’m putting up two today: this one and a monochrome, both unmangled.
I recently joined a self-help group for photographers that are addicted to whacking up the saturation and vibrance sliders. Ultimately the visual adrenalin zap does more harm than good so we need help. The group’s therapy task this week was to produce a set of sliders-zapped photographs with little or no colour, so that is what I did (I only slipped up once which you will eventually see).
There are eight of us in the group, and the whole environment is very supportive. The astute of you will readily guess that the other seven are imagined voices of mine, but at least I have more company now… ;)
I barely touched the saturation and vibrancy sliders or their proxies for this one. Promise :)

Straightforward processing in Capture One with a bit of sharpening (Unsharp Mask/ High Pass & Linear blend) in Affinity Photo.]
So I wanted to try making some MOCs design like they could be made as sets. And for the first to be uploaded of these is a Star Wars Battle Pack, which I went with sith for designing this.

Sith Battle pack with 98 pieces
(minifigure 20 pieces, weapon 10 pieces, speeder 64 pieces and 4 studs)
Minifigure:
2 sith apprentice, 1 sith master and 1 sith lord (Sith Pureblood).
Model:
“Now here’s the most original thing for a battle pack… a speeder”
Do to the sith having lightsabers (though this pack could be the first outside of the superhero theme to have the super jumper), it’s best for the model to at least have stud shooter.
While no one care about the model in battle packs and only the minifigures, I wanted this battle pack to be different of having contraction parts which I think gave off a good shape for the speeder of using those 3 ultrabuild pieces though I wouldn't say the same with the tip of using those Exo-Force arms and small claw.
With the use of these parts, the wings and front parts can move to find some sort of way to pose it.

This is a very busy canal being kept open for shipping traffic, but it was freezing over again very fast.
The 'grain' that you see is actually that crizzly snow that kept falling in swoops.

I remember my boys made it a sport to jump from on ice-float to another (without falling in the water!!!), when we lived in Holland, along a narrow canal... Hair-raising stuff... boys will be boys!
As their mother I only knew some time later of course, after one DID fall in.
Sent him for a hot shower, he was ready to go again... NOT!!!

Norfolk Southern intermodal train 20K passes the position-light signals at CP PACK during their second-to-last full day of operation on July 13, 2019. The old signals were replaced on July 15.
Looking up the the Wool Packs with Pym Chair on the left and Crowden Tower to the right, it looks warm and golden but was in fact quite chilly.

The battle, early on, is to at least stay with the pack. For top competitors, it may be leading the pack, setting the pace, or it may be lying in wait for the time to charge when the other girls are gassed. By the second lap, the pack usually has begun to break up into a couple of smaller groups, and it further breaks down as the meters go past 1200.
A couple more pics of this quaint little piece of Lancashire history. The first shows the running water (that floods a little) where you can walk alongside the village - as one gentleman nearly found out as a car wizzed through and almost drowned him!
The second pic shows him walking the bridge. All safe and dry lol. But it's annoying that even in these quiet villages there are still idiots on the road.
Probably a woman driver! (let the flaming begin)

As we have 1 hour and a half to waist before today's panel at the Comic Con and the reveal of the day (even if we already know that Lorna Mcnessie will be one of them, yeah THEM, today we will have more than 1 doll revealed ^^) I think it was the perfect moment to upload the pic I took this afternoon :p
While I was cleaning some boxes this afternoon I found some Fashionistas girls, most of them are customs from flea markets or original that I bought in store but that I restyled soooo as my boys were still hanging in my living room I decided to take a group shot ^^
