Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. I loved the muted sandy colours and the reflections from windows opposite - and, of course, they guy who was pacing back and forth through the frame. Enjoy!
Previously unpublished shot from April 2019.
The Gladstone-Partridge turn job L549 heads back south through Michigan's upper peninsula on a beautiful summer day with great pair of locomotives.
Buffalo & Pittsburgh train SIBF (Salamanca to Buffalo) is headed north through Chaffee in the late evening hours as we pace the train along highway 16 and snag some pan shots.
ONR 512 begins the return trip after a lengthy dramatic delay in Noranda. Protestors against the Copper smelting plant began laying down underneath their train waiting to reverse into the plant.

It is easy to get a fix on a moving snail....also a wonder to behold !
Pushing on that trigger is like pulling magic into my very soul...Darrell.
Have a safe and fun day dear Flickr friends !!!!!!!
With only a few miles left to the El Segundo mine, Escalante Western's trio of SD40s are roaring right along with their empty train. Despite not only the very brief crash course in pacing a train, but also having a very small window of opportunity where the tracks are close enough to the highway with no obstructions, I think my wife did a pretty decent driving job to make this shot happen!

Hagerstown bound 38Q travels south along US Route 11 near Marion, PA. A great job by Denny Myers in the driver's seat and some tips from Jim Stanton.
After the SOO SD60/60Ms returned to service in late 2009, I took every opportunity to savor the sight and sound of these EMDs at work. Highway 55 between Belgrade and Glenwood provided prime territory to follow alongside and fire off a few pacing shots as the 710 prime movers did their thing. This is the same ethanol train we saw fueling up in Glenwood. They're underway now in the last light of the day and accelerating toward Sedan. I believe Jeremiah Rindahl, Frederick Wolter, and his dad were along for this one, so for once I wasn't driving and taking the picture at the same time.
What you don't see, when you watch show jumping on TV, is the jockeys all pacing round the arena wearing their riding gear to prepare for the competition. It is a surreal sight - like a live Magritte painting... At the Royal Windsor Horse show.
A year ago these were the tranquil scenes as class 144 pacer unit crossed the River Calder at Kirkthorpe.
CSX Q026 rolls through the fields of northcentral Tennessee in Sadlersvile as they rapidly approach the Kentucky state line. Q026 featured a pair of CSX's ST70AH's, or SD70ACe-T4's, on point this day. These have since been returned to Progress Rail.

Get Pushed - well, - one of my 'get pushed' challenges was to get a reflection that dominates the photo (errr ummm.)
