Night deepened there along the Snake River at Oxbow Bend.

The super-volcano is about to explode again there in the Teton and Yellowstone area :))

There were some fine clouds and movement there on this moody afternoon in the Grand Teton National Park.

Shot taken from the Oxbow Bend area at Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.

Even though the leaves and photographers are gone there is still plenty of color at Oxbow Bend thanks to this wonderful morning light! Six weeks ago there would have been 50-100 photographers lining the banks at Oxbow. Yesterday there were two of us!

Early morning at the Snake River with light fog softening the light.

As I look towards possibly leading workshops in Grand Teton National Park, I've updated the edit on this photo from one of my past visits to the park.

A peaceful corner of nature’s hidden world.

This image was created with DALL·E based on my original photograph, then upscaled in Leonardo AI and further enhanced in Topaz Gigapixel AI.

This is the wider 24mm view there in the early morning at Oxbow Bend. Will follow this post with a zoomed in capture taken at 105mm.

Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, USA. Went to this location for sunrise shot, but there was too much fog for mountains to be visible. Came back to the location in the afternoon to take this shot as I was leaving Teton country that day. Hope to come back here next year for a sunrise shot.

This is a photograph where this year I brought the full arsenal of glass to get a full frame shot and closer in shot of Mt. Moran. Switching from a 24-70mm focal length to a 70-200mm lens allowed me to focus in on Mt. Moran when the light began to hit the tree line in front of the mountain giving the photo some Pop. This image gives you everything you want and displays the true scene when visiting Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, USA.

Well, the best laid plans.....We had a long drive on this day and I didn't think we'd have time to stop for photos.....until I saw this. Here is dawn as it reaches the Grand Teton range, with Oxbow Bend in the Snake River as foreground. A magical place at a magical time.

Even in stormy weather, Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming is a stunning sight.

Oxbow Bend is a "bend" or looping meander of the Snake River in Wyoming which has been cut off from the main channel. It resembles the oxbow used by the western pioneers.
