Mt. Moran reflected at Oxbow Bend in the Grand Teton National Park, near Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Grand Teton Natrionalpark, Wyoming, USA

One can not go to Grand Teton National Park without taking at least one photo of this famous spot, no matter how many pictures they already have.

Taken in the morning along the Snake River in Wyoming.

Yeah, I know! But it truly is a magical place, with the gorgeous autumn colors, the cool still air and water, the haunting elk bugles in the distance and the wondrous way the sunrise dances across the clouds - who can resist?

Thanks for visiting! I so appreciate your comments and views! Have a wonderful and blessed Tuesday!

Sunrise at Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park

We were at this iconic location to welcome the morning, along with over 100 other photographers.

Unbelievable! People were elbow to elbow and tripod legs against tripod legs. Never seen anything like it.

Thank you all so much for your faves and comments.

I appreciate each one!

The wind was picking up some but the reflections of Mt. Moran and nearby Teton peaks were still worth a shot. Easy to see why this bend in the Snake River is considered the most iconic and popular location for Teton image hunters.

Enjoy a wonderful Friday and weekend!

At least the clouds were high allowing Mt. Moran to stand tall and majestic in the distance. Too often when I've been here the Tetons were blanketed completely with thick clouds. I was blessed this memorable day with meeting good friends and enjoying some mighty fine shooting. Doesn't get much better than that.

Thanks for taking a look. Always appreciated.

Hope the New Year has begun wonderfully for you.

Mount Moran at Oxbow Bend of the Snake River - Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming - USA

Just after the peak of Fall Colors, this iconic scene never disappoints. Teton National Park, Wyoming.

Such a beautiful birch tree + lake view!

Last stop on my long Fall 2022 road trip was the pass south through Yellowstone and the Grand Teton. Even though it was mid-morning, I still made the obligatory stop at Oxbow Bend. I'd already been astounded at the low water level of Jackson Lake. I asked at the Coulter Bay Visitor Center and the ranger said something about water being allocated to farming. The low level of the meandering Snake River was still a surprise. On the cool side, check the water fowl there on the exposed bank.

Mt. Moran and some of the other Tetons reflected in the placid Snake River. The fall foliage was popping. Met good friends here. What a grand day this was.

Was so glad to see the peaks. They are usually shrouded in fog, clouds and mystery when I visit. I was dancing.

Back from one great trip. Heading out on another. Prime image hunting season is here and off I go.

Thanks for taking a look. Always appreciated!

The super-volcano is about to explode again there in the Teton and Yellowstone area :))

There were some fine clouds and movement there on this moody afternoon in the Grand Teton National Park.

Even though the leaves and photographers are gone there is still plenty of color at Oxbow Bend thanks to this wonderful morning light! Six weeks ago there would have been 50-100 photographers lining the banks at Oxbow. Yesterday there were two of us!

As I look towards possibly leading workshops in Grand Teton National Park, I've updated the edit on this photo from one of my past visits to the park.
