Sometimes I farm pigs, sometimes roll in the hay. And sometimes overprocess pictures. But whatever I do, I'm the best in the radius of 4 villages.

Seen "The Clash" last night. Pretty uninteresting, or maybe I just love the first version too much? My personal highlight was that Whatshisname, Zheksully spends a good part of the movie barefoot, and he has the cutest little feet :)

Christ. When did I become THAT guy???

Slightly overprocessed in-camera HDR. However, I think the overprocessed look is still just about bearable, and I needed the maximum pop for Gurushots.

I started with a photo of the top of the outside aviary pelleted with rain, then over processed to the max!! Happy Slider Sunday!! :=)

A bunch of Asda's finest.

An alternative Dorset Coast view tonight - this was taken at Studland and it is for me a slightly overprocessed HDR ;-)!

back on the road today. i'll stop posting these annoying selfies once I can actually get out and use this thing. i'm just enamored of its size-to-output ratio. lovely tonality, ever so slightly gritty – they feel like good scans from my old Contax T2 and are the antithesis of overprocessed, soulless smartphone files.

This is what you do at 3am when you can't sleep.

An experimental HDR taken a couple of months ago at Nostell Priory near Wakefield.

It may be a little overprocessed for the purists but I like it and I hope you do too.

Be warned - Objects in mirror are closer than they appear - or so they say.

This capture with an iPhone was originally a little "dirty" (Dirty glass and mirror didn't help the quality of the image) but I liked the composition (YMMV).

Legislature buildings through my rear view mirror. I used some texture to even out the playing field - something I haven't done for awile and then did some sliding in the Mid Tones.

Some surreal processing of the southern Moravian fields ...

I've waited 12 years for this to happen, and everything went according to plan. The final image has been slightly overprocessed to bring out the slight hint of beams, but the original untouched image still looked good.

Hum..not really fond of this, but I have too much to do to backup the process and begin again, so thus. I'm okay with it. haha.

I finally, oh goodness, caved and started a blog.

Unraveling the Girl

*sigh*

I have no idea if it just my propensity to spread myself too thinly or not, but the good news is that at least my Flickr ventings might subside slightly. :)

And again, in reference to the spread thinly part: who knows how long I can keep it up. Not that I ever am at a loss for things to say, (ha) but I'll add it to my list of daily attemptables.

So if you're interested (god knows why) give it a look-see. If not...carry on.

And on that note, I am off to make a fresh pot of coffee and to tackle the overgrown jungle that is my house....

Wishing you all a good day,

xo

Random fact of today: This is the first manipulation taken with my 50mm lens. Hmmmm. I wonder if that's what brought along the need to overprocess.

(maybe a bit overprocessed...:)

I don’t like overprocessing my images but this one is exception. I hope you like it.

Im not getting time to shoot and visit n comment regularly ... sorry !

This is one of two howitzer field guns flanking the War memorial we discovered on a walking tour of the oldest cemetery in Regina. They were captured from the German Army in World War I. The monument in the center of the memorial was donated by the Imperial War Graves Commission.

Original was first processed in the iPhone App Snapseed then in PRISMA with some further "Slidding" in Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0.

Used PRISMA - Style: Red Head filter - first for a Painterly effect - then slide for HSS.

Hi Flickr Friends!

ok i know i'm late -- this is my post-halloween entry. I think this is one of the oldest buildings in Kuwait City.

this is overprocessed, btw LOL! I wanted to make it look creepy/spooky.

thanks for all the views, comments, notes, faves and invites :))

DEb overslept, got board this morning waiting and noticed the watercolor effect the rain was having on the windshield. I dont think summer is comming to Deadhorse AK this year.

My Dad and I went to the PSU Arboretum yesterday and there were some iris that hadn't all bloomed yet. I loved the way the bud-tipped stems were all lined up. So or course I overprocessed this....and love the outcome - it looks like stained glass to me. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday! HSS!

Overprocessed for an overly dramatic look. Sometimes you just gotta have fun.

The very talented Bethany Heart kindly asked for volunteers for her photo project - I jumped at the opportunity to sit for the beautiful Bethy! She has a wonderful eye for detail and the skill to really elevate a photo. To keep the "realism" of SL without making it seem fake or overprocessed. I'm totally WOW'd by her work and very honored I was able to sit for her! I had a lot of fun spending time with her and Miss Lyla! Seems we share a little shopping addiction too! <33

THANK YOU BETHY <333

Overprocessed

total and utter boredom setting in. Overprocessing is always a sign of that.

I went overboard on the processing, I know, but I'm in just one of those moods today . . .

Pine cones in a bucket, after cleaning up the backyard after a loooong winter. I was inspired by a flickr friends post www.flickr.com/photos/cagey_u2/34012552160/in/dateposted/

I thought I would play with this capture a bit for HSS Sliderssunday - being just a "little" over processed and slid I hope it still qualifies.

Pink Floyd

That inspired me to start my photography. I figured if i can capture what i see, i will always have that part of what made me...me.

This photo is waaay off the beaten path for me. I look at this as a painting with my lens. Hopefully some rich person with a bunch of money will too! LOL

Anyways, I will be just as pleased if you enjoy =D

Notes, comments, faves and corrective criticism are always appreciated!!! Thank you in advance!

A new render of an old picture. I think this photo was ok, but I wasn't satisfied with the noise level. I did this without flash or special lights, and I don't own any fast autofocus lenses.

Hence ISO6400. I broke my own rule of thumb which is to not go past 3200 on MFT.

So now I redid the demosaicing and denoise using DxO PureRaw. Don't get me wrong, I don't think this software is miraculous; actually, I don't like the output. But it can help with noise in these very high ISO scenarios. Some judicious use of lowpass filters in darktable can bring the DxO overprocessed madness into something more natural-looking.

At least I hope so.

A Summers morning down by the river at Kirkby Lonsdale. Images are intentionally overprocessed to give a HDR feel to them

It pays to advertise! If catching the eye(s) of a passing pollinator is your "thing" , make sure you stand out in a crowd!! This MIGHT do the trick! HSS

I usually do not overdo post processing, or do any at all. I created this on accident. I changed it to black and white originally and was adjusting the colors. I was not too happy with the bw treatment and was just going to move on to the next shot. I change it back from bw to color and this crazy picture was what emerged.

Classic overprocessing cliche, and I do not know how I did this but it sure does look good cliche. HCS everyone!

*It made it to Explore also! :-) Thanks everybody. Highest so far #78.*

Winter sun. Going out shooting in the shortest day period in mid winter, it's either sunrise or sunset as these pretty much collide or overlap (maybe not the right words). That is if the sun decides to brake through the clouds. I really love the creamy thick colors the winter sun casts on everything and of course photos may look vibrant and even overcolored in this light. Normally I try not to overprocess but just to correct what comes out of camera to my vision of the scene. But of course, since I have all the © rights it can be tempting to help the natural colors a little bit ;-)

I'd say this shot is maybe 5% more vivid than my eyes remember the scene. But maybe 35% from what came out of the camera.

Sean.

Spotted this in passing and (after a ten minute wait in pouring rain for traffic to allow me to get out to the middle of the intersection) .. could not resist the MUCH IMPROVED new street crossing lights installed in the city. (lol)

... a bit 'overprocessed' for colors but I could have brought out the pouring rain a bit .. just a quick drive by snap .. Fall is a 'quick' season.

The doomed sacrificial celebrants marched to their end in the dark tunnels beyond...

Originally titled "The Castle Hall", this version is perhaps overprocessed, but I like the effect. Looks more like HDR but it's a single shot from a 10 megapixel camera, upscaled, sharpened, and with a lot of "local contrast" added.

I do this kind of treatment on a number of shots which many think are HDR but which are actually single exposures -- often shot dark to preserve highlights.

Two flaws of much HDR I've seen are excessive "halos" and an unreasonably bright black level. I try not to have that in my shots but the local contrast filters can really cause haloing problems on dark to light transition areas. Then it requires "brush work" to fix -- it's a labor of love in post processing. Probably more time than it's worth sometimes, but I like to do it.

These old CCD cameras had a lot of noise by today's standards even at base ISO, so it limits somewhat what you can do for noise control in shadow lifts for shots like this. New tools mean I can mess with it more, lol.

One of the many goat pictures I took in Ethiopia a while ago. Goats are everywhere in Addis Ababa...main streets, side streets, restaurant table, your hotel room. No, this last one is not true. When I first saw them from the distance, I thought they are a pack of stray dogs. So here - shamelessly overprocessed for Sliders Sunday with the original in the comments. HSS, everyone!

Heavy Frost.

It turns out we got a pretty cold winter, it's now several weeks more or less freezing. The snow is gone, but the lakes have thick ice now. This allows persepectives that are impossible normally, you can just walk into the lake. Nice. Unfortunately the paths are slippery, I managed to fall on my buttock on my way back, but luckily I had my camera packed already, when that happened.

I realitze the last few rounds of photos were a little heavy handed and overprocessed. Here I tried a more subtle rendering which maybe suits the subject better? I don't know. Decisions, decisions ... I try to get out again to one of the lakes at the weekend. Usually at the weekend under such conditions everything is pretty crowded and not so nice and quiet as it looks like here, when I was almost on my own.

. . . This slightly over processed view of the Rapid River was suggested to me by my cell phone (Android) the other day! The original image is posted along with this one, so that you can see what my phone decided to do all on it's own! Brings to mind a historical quote from the inventor of the Morse Code in 1844: "What hath God wrought"?

Have a great week Facebook and Flickr friends!
