I'm calling it "overprocessed backyard viewed through frosty window glass."

I don't even remember what this started out as...some sort of a flower shot that I played around with....then I found a gradient that I really liked...but then it seemed boring so I stuck a self-portrait layer in. And then distorted that. It's really different than what I normally post, but I really like it. Hope you have a fantastic Sunday! HSS!

I am not sure if this would really qualify for Slider Sunday BUT I thought I would give it a try.

It has "moved" fairly far from its original state. It has passed threw a number of Apps - including - Prisma (Land Rover Winter) for a Painterly effect then DAP (Pencil) to end up with this version - there may have been some other Apps along the way that I may have forgotten about.

A day out to Lyme Regis to see my buddy Jon was a good excuse to get some beachy SPs done.

I don't mind admitting that the last couple of days I haven't felt at all confident behind the lens. I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that I'll never be as good as I want to be (cos that would mean being the photographer equivalent of Jesus or something).

I've seen over the last couple of days the little things that take a photographer a step up from good to great, and I'm not convinced I'll ever make that step because those little things are something inherent and you either have it or you don't.

Or are they? This shot would never have turned out the way it did (ie as I saw it in my head) if I hadn't been in the presence of my other awesome buddy Disco~Stu yesterday and watched how he positoned himself for some shots for . . . uh . . . secret stuff I can't talk about yet for security reasons ;-)

I'm talking bollocks again . . . sorry. I'll be trying to catch up with everyone this week as I've been a crappy contact lately.

Strobist info: SB600 to camera left at full power with some kind of CTO gel in an effort to replicate sunlight. Kindly hand-held by Jon as high as he possibly could. Fired by CLS.

A walk in the garden always is an enjoyable time - even weeding (OK - it is a small garden) - as you get down close to nature.

The leaves on the Morning Glory vine started to turn color early and I kind of over emphasized them with a bit of processing.

Was captured with an iPhone with all processing on the iPhone - "Slide" in Snapseed and Instagram.

That is a 2" by 2" post that the vine is climbing.

I took more pictures today XD It was pretty bad because I spent all day planning this out and I just wanted to go home and run around the field in a dress, but then school seemed to go by forever =P

The dress is actually my mom's old prom dress and I love it because it looks like a alot like a Victorian dress (That era is my obession) You can see it in the picture but it has a bunch of pearls and other details around the collar. And the flowers are goldenrods, my current flower obsession.

Through my 5x50+ Project in 2012 I met a hunter. We've been in touch and he invited me to come a long for a hunting session. It was so nice to finally spend a whole day out in the nature. The light was mazing, too. I'll share some impressions with you.

What do you think of this shot? Does the composition work? Is it maybe a bit overprocessed?

Let's exchange:

facebook I My Website I twitter

You may remember this photo from way back which is from the same shoot. I think this is my favourite photo shoot that I’ve ever done.

I think that I overprocessed the old image and I ruined it. Here is my new version which I would like to be a part of the silver wrap collection.

Feeling a bit blue so perhaps overprocessed.......but love forget-me-nots.

Photo A Day Prompt CUT. So CUT flowers from the garden

This is the farm I learned how to drive....at the age of 5yr old.....my Uncle Hap would put the truck in neutral and it would coast out in the field. He would hop in every so often and turn the wheel. My love of cows and horses grew from here. Lots of Christmases and summers. Wonderful Memories ......

....it is overprocessed...but on purpose....in my childhood....when I recall things....everything was bigger, brighter, taller, and all around more colorful..

(Overprocessed this because it seemed fun that way) Another shot at red maple leaf pet pix.

I have many more from this shoot that I would like to get uploaded. Also, I've just started to play around with some of the options in Picasa, so please forgive any overprocessing!

Couldn't decide whether to keep this one clean black and white or overprocess it, went for the latter in the end, have put up way too many straight b/w's lately, don't want you all to start thinking I'm actually a photographer or something!

NGC 2392 is a small bipolar double-shell planetary nebula located near the δ (delta) star of Gemini. This nebula was first spotted in 1787 and is about 10,000 years old. At magnitude 9.1, this planetary nebula is small (0.90’) and has a double-shell surrounding the central star (O-type).

To create this image, I first used a data pack from a Planewave CDK24 + FLI PL9000. During the processing, I was not satisfied with the details visible in the heart of the nebula. In order to get more, I planned 2 h of Ha filter exposure with the 1 m telescope available from Obstech (ASA RC-1000AZ) to use it as a Luminance layer.

I purposely “overprocessed” this luminance layer to see what was possible to do with such a large telescope in only two hours. This highlighted the filaments in the lobe surrounding the star as well as the “cometary globules” on the outer shell.

By far one of the most difficult processing I have done!

Crèche Little Shepherd Boy _6794

Playing with Bokeh this weekend and captured this Little Shepherd Boy from a crèche we have had for many Christmases.

Thought it might work with a bit of sliding and of course an opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season.

Way overprocessed and maybe a dark title but what the heck is going on in the world? Why can't we all just get along?

If I was better at Photoshop I could have done a better job on this...but I like it for the most part. This is a zinnia that hadn't totally opened yet with a background of cosmos greenery. Hope you have a great Sunday. HSS!

Clementiner, steg 2 - Clementines, step 2

(Over processed)

From a lovely morning in November. The fog was everywhere, and I ended up taking heaps of photos.

I find it hard to get the pictures as you envisioned them when you take them in the fog. As the pictures come out so flat, and I do not want to overprocess the images. This one came out quite good.

This Sliders Sunday effort started out as an experiment and rapidly got worse. It’s a four-image multiple exposure created in-camera using Lighten blend. The subject is crushed-up tissue paper of various colours, lit by LED lights within a silvered light tent/box thingy. The camera is rotated by 90 degrees between shots.

I’ll post a link to the straight version of the in-camera original in a comment.

I changed the original cyan paper colour to green to get a green/purple/green triad in the colour scheme. I overprocessed it and then used a mirror filter in Affinity to get the symmetry.

I was intrigued by the texture on the inside silver surfaces of the light box.

I hope everyone is well and having a good Sliders Sunday.

Thanks for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Sliders Sunday!

May you be blessed by grace and love of the God of Easter today.

Yes its a Highland cow but living in the Peak District.

I photographed this back in April but as you sometimes do I overprocessed it, today I decided to KISS (Keep it simple stupid) I quite like it now, but why do they always look so sad?

I realize this is abuse of image processing software, but what-the-heck... It started as a blurry ICM shot of a speeding freight train. I boosted color and contrast then transformed the shape with the liquify tool in Photoshop Elements. I hope it works for Sliders Sunday.

Oversaturated, overprocessed... But I like it :)

Yet another Jamaican sunset. I don't think I could ever get tired of them.

This is a 6 exposure vertorama. 3 exposures for the bottom, 3 for the top. I think it's a bit overprocessed, but so are Jamaican sunsets.

having to dig deep to find things to photograph, especially when the garden and house are about as far as I go with the camera, but who'd have thought that raindrops on a bag of plastic recycling would work so well?

One from the archive but I was playing about with HDR software for a bit of fun. I think this may be a little overprocessed ;-)
