Well I have Sam home for one day and I don't think apples are gonna be happening! I think they need another week or possibly even a week and a half longer! My gosh I don't know if my tree can take much more!! I feel bad that we let it get so heavy...I've never seen it with a crop of apples this huge! Had to go out and support the limbs with some lumber! So I think we're gonna let them sit another week...can't harvest apples that aren't ready. I did that before and these apples don't ripen off the tree...they just rot. Strange huh? Have a lovely day everyone! :) Large is better...
I reacted a little too slowly when I saw this vehicle coming, and missed the best focus. By the time he passed me, I had my camera set right, so I got a sharper shot of it from the back.

I'm amazed by how many different toothpaste product lines Colgate now put out. I counted 16! It's insane - there's no need for that much choice.
I went for the cheapest one.

My Mantelpiece for the Photographers' Gallery Mass Observation project.
This is not the original mantelpiece. I think the flat - one of the first council properties in the UK - would have been built with a range. That would have been replaced in the 1940s with a tiled hearth.
Someone had taken all the tiles off it when I bought the flat in about 1999, so I replaced it with this reclaimed surround.
The clutter on the mantlepiece is a timeline of my life in London.
At each end there are are photos from the Feb 2003 anti war protest in London; pictures of me and my friends looking much younger - mostly walking on the Lake District; a publicity shot of my friend Eva's book "Heute ist jezt" based on her blog about breast cancer; a photo of my partner goofing about in a hotel in Kyoto;I took on a Grace Lau workshop in the 1990s; a moose mobile that should have been put away after Christmas; a VPN token for my work lap top; pictures of friend's children and various nices; and a Chinese good luck cat money box - a housewarming gift to my brother that came back to me when he moved abroad. The picture hanging above the mantle is a Tim Page image from Cambodia. And just visible at either side is a string of fairy lights with clips for pictures that I love because it lets me display some of of post cards, cards, and photos, but my partner hates because it is more clutter in a small and cluttered flat. .
This apricot yellow variety is known as the Malayan Red Dwarf (MRD), locally called as kelapa gading or mawar. I headed to the field at All Saints School yet again for a stroll. One of the trees there is really full with fruits, an exact contrast to the others there. However this tree produces plenty of sterile seeds; which do not germinate after ripening. The MRD originated from Malaysia (most probably from Malaya; hence its name).
I'm pretty sure I lose manliness points just by looking at this duck. It's not mine, at least. It's my sister's.
You can use your motorcycle to carry anything in Jakarta - from baskets of jack fruit to goats to merchandize like the photo above.

yes we are on sugar overload over here...but when spring hits, we break out the ice cream maker and start making it ourselves again! we made this last night (it was too dark to photograph), it is my favorite chocolate ice cream ever. it's perfect, cherry or not!
