This body of work documents and reconfigures details of the crumbling, industrial interior of the original Madison Brass Works building prior to its renovation. Close-up photographs of switches and control dials, rusty surfaces and peeling paint reveal beauty in the mundane. They also make up a visual epitaph to a much loved neighborhood structure. Drawn compositions layer wiring schematics, hardware features, patent drawings, company logos, and operating instructions into image overloads.
