Today is a yellow day at Color my World Daily so why not celebrate with some yellow cuteness overload !
Yes, my tiny ducks are back and they look adorable playing with that tiny (but huge for them) spoon !! They are running and sliding on the spoon handle just like at a water park. Poor tiny ducks don’t realize that this is a perfect spoon for a soup… and duck soup sounds very delicious….Just kidding !! I will never, ever eat a plastic ducks soup !!! Have a beautiful yellow day my friends !!

From my India travel archive (2015 )....An incredibly overloaded lorry ( truck ) on a highway......
A very sad pandemic situation that have gone terribly out of control in India with the latest and very virulent mutant Covid virus strains. Just like this image it is becoming an ever heavy burden for the Indian Health system. Hopefully with the help from other countries supplying oxygen tanks and ventilators the dire situation will improve not only for the sake of the Indians but for the whole of humanity.

I'm not sure if I've ever been witness to a more texture rich sight. I saw that tree and I had to work it in somehow and the more I looked the more agog I became. Stuff like this makes me so glad that I bought that camera for my daughters graduation...... :-)

This super adorable girl was not posing for me, she was trying to get some snacks from her dad, and she had to earn it by putting out all sort of cute poses.
She's 12 years old, and her super cute brother who wouldn't leave his mom's side was 8, but he's double her size.
She's about 18 inches and fit inside a regular size backpack.

Cygnets from a family of 12 hatched this week in Newport Shropshire. These cygnets are at the most 5 days old.

Huge albatross of the Southern Ocean. Two subspecies: “Gibson’s” breeds primarily on Auckland Island and ranges at sea around New Zealand and eastern Australia; “Antipodean” breeds mostly on Antipodes and Campbell Islands and ranges mainly across Pacific to Humboldt Current off Chile. Plumage highly variable, starting chocolate-brown with a white face and gradually becoming whiter over many years. Younger birds separated from Southern Royal Albatross by darker tail, brown markings on head and back, and lack of black “lips” on cutting edge of bill. Older birds more difficult to separate; focus on more coarsely marked upperwings, often with conspicuous white patch in center of wing, and lack of black “lips”. Often shows orange stain on cheek, never shown by Southern Royal. Identification from other Wandering-type Albatross is extremely difficult and often presumed by range. Older “Antipodean” often retain complete dark cap, tail, and upperwings. (eBird)

Another close encounter with an albatross. Just slightly smaller than the Southern Royal Albatross posted earlier, the best way to tell the difference is the lack of "black lips" on this bird. The bill is also slightly pinker. Regardless, it was seabird overload at Kaikoura and I loved every minute of it.

First lunch hour this year when I've seen so many shieldbugs! Only watery sunshine, but not windy, so quite warm!
Saw 20+ Pieds, 20+ Greens and a dozen Docks!
Still no Hairies though!!!

If seagulls could only get master angler awards, this one would be a sure winner. Amazing how he or she got out of the water with this payload. They never cease to amaze me.
