Nikon D70+AF Nikkor 28-80mm F/3.3-5.6G|

Subject Matter: The subject is a group light-paint made with loads of random lines. I chose to crop a section of the original image to focus on.

Scale: With the random lines and flowing shape of the subject gives a range of size and shape to the subject.

Exposure: The exposure was set to 10 seconds with a manual exposure mode.

Shooting Techniques: The Image was taken with a long exposure so that by moving a coloured light around it would create random shapes.

Framing & Composition: The cropped Image was adjusted with black and white and flipped in different orientations to emphasise the movement in the image. The four quarters of the image are made up of four variations of the subject.

Focus: With the variation of the black and white adjustments across the subjects some parts of the subject look out of focus and others look sharp.

Format: The photo was uploaded as a jpeg, but copies were also saved as a Photoshop psd file along with the original unedited version.

Equipment: The photo was taken on a Canon EOS 700D

Viewpoint: The photo was taken from a tripod across the room while the subject was light-painted.

Lens Characteristics: EF50mm f/1.8 STM.

Image & File Sizes: The image was cropped to 8x6 inches with a resolution of 300 dpi

Editing Processes: The image was cropped four times and a black and white adjustment layer was and customised individually on each. The bottom left image a full sized image with the smaller rotated versions overlapped on top.

Traditional Processes: Traditionally produced with a black and white film, using the C41 colour process.
