A model of the South Australian Railway's 900 Loco with Overland Carriages. The engine and train belong to the Murdoch family and Michael Murdoch is seen here driving the 900 at Diamond Valley Station.
Old Miniature Railway Pictures.
Spring came very late this year and significant snow pack hung on well into April. By mid-May, prodigious rainfall arrived, adding to ground that was still quite saturated from a wet growing season in 2019. The heavy rainfall event pictured here dropped another 40 to 60 millimetres of rain on top of already soaked terrain.

Great Grandpa Sam Darrah, Grandpa Edwin Hampson & Aunt Lucille with another person in a 1916 or 1917 Overland.
Photographer and year unknown, but it would've been before the 1930s.
72ci, 30hp 4-cylinder. The company became known as Willys-Overland the next year. Owls Head Transportation Museum, Owls Head, ME, November 20, 2010.
Overland addressed this ad to farm women. It ran in the October 21, 1922 issue Country Gentleman magazine.
I rate this a great job of copy writing. The ad copywriters and artists played a major role in improving conditions for farmers.
The text is easy to read in large or original size.
This is nowhere near the worst mudbog we found. This is just when I was in a good enough mood to film one.
Emerging by Runway Couture's Marita Overland, is an enveloping kalidoscope of colors and sparkling with black glitter.
This gown features and huge take on the classical ball gown with a twist , draped in black sequinced satin, and a glitter overlay. This fabric choice also repeats it's self in the bodice of the gown.
The skirt is topped with a black glitter belt, tied with a monarch butterfly printed sash. The back train is uplifting, and full of color, in a monarch butterfly print, to represent the emerging butterfly in spring.
The hair is swept to the the side with braids, three butterflies nestled in the style. The jewerly represents the color scheme of black and orange, featuring Citrine & Onyx gemstones and glittering gold. On the fingertips, are long slender orange nails, and a butterfly on the thumb, as if it had just landed there for a rest.
To finish off the look, the shoes feature orange and black features, straps, and slender heel, with a matching butterfly on the rear of the ankle.
All items were created by Marita Overland.

After just traveliing on the Rails in the Foreground, Dx5304 heads 201, the Southbound Overlander away from Hunterville. Dx's are usually not used on the Overlander and more interestingly Dx5304 is a South Island Loco.
Rumours say that it will be heading to the Workshops soon to have an Overhaul.
The Overlander (07:25 AKL -> WLG) passes by SH1 under diesel power 'under the wires'. Further down the road were the OHL Maintenance gang and it was a Sunday.
