Our other pizza at Una Pizza Napoletana on Saturday:
Margherita
San Marzano tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, extra-virgin olive oil,
fresh basil, sea salt. (tomato sauce)
This one had good flavor, but it also had too much moisture in the middle. The cheese slid to one side. It was the first pizza in the oven that night, though, so it's entirely possible that the fire wasn't quite where it needed to be yet.
We decided that the place is probably a little overhyped, but it might be worth a return visit sometime.

Kings of Convenience’s Erlend Øye’s vocals feature prominently in the German-based group noted for the short and danceable songs. Catchy Synthesizers and a Rhodes piano feature prominently. Fanfarlo Reservoir
London’s Fanfarlo is Beirut’s adventurous cousin visiting from Europe. Well layered and multi-instrumental (think Sufjan) and wildly raucous in their own driving way (think Broken Social Scene or Arcade Fire), Reservoir is not only among the year’s best, but also underrated, albums.

THE REVOLUTIONARY NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLERSUGAR BUSTERS!Cut Sugar to Trim Fat Lose weight Lower your cholesterol Achieve optimal wellness Increase your energy Help treat diabetes and other diseasesFeaturing easy recipes from New Orleans top restaurants--and a 14-day meal plan!It s time to face facts. Low fat diets don t work. Thousands of Americans on low-fat, high-carbohydrate regimes gain back their weight in record numbers, often wreaking unhealthy havoc on their bodies. Why? Because the culprit isn t too much fat, it s too much sugar--and low-fat food is full of it. The truth is sugar causes the production of insulin which, in large amounts, keeps your weight from dropping off, no matter how strictly you diet or how often you exercise. Just look at the ingredients of your favorite foods: sugar is everywhere. So how can you possibly avoid it? The answer: SUGAR BUSTERS!Developed by three renowned physicians and a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, SUGAR BUSTERS! is a revolutionary new diet plan based on sound nutritional principles that shows you how to eliminate sugar from your daily menu through easy-to-follow recipes and meal plans. With SUGAR BUSTERS! you will Develop a diet plan that is right for you Determine the glycemic levels of various foods with a handy glycemic index Discover which foods to eat at what time of day Avoid food combinations that add pounds Learn the myths of calories, fats, cholesterol, and weight gain Feel great, increase your energy, and prevent chronic diseaseSimple, practical, and easy to adapt to your busy lifestyle--including savory gourmet meal plans designed by twelve of New Orleans s famous restaurants like Antoine s, Galatoire s, Commander s Palace, and Brennan s--SUGAR BUSTERS! is the diet of the future, an amazing, new approach to eating, nutrition, and health. Fats are vitally important to your body s metabolic process. Large meals should never be eaten before going to bed--because cholesterol is also manufactured at night. Fruits should not be eaten in combination with carbohydrates and fats. A glass of wine has less sugar than an ear of corn. Baked potatoes quickly convert to sugar in your stomach.Forget the fight against fat! Break the sugar-starch habit today and enjoy the foods you love as you get healthy and lose weight with SUGAR BUSTERS!
The 2010 sign where the ball drops. As a New Yorker I have never been to Times Square on New Year's Eve. We moved here when I was a teenager and at the time Times Square was still seedy. Now it's far from fun. Still I was thinking of maybe going this time after reading some people's experience written online. The streets were certainly crowded the night of December 30th and again on the day of. There are so many tourists right now in New York and a lot of them come from far away just to be here for this. I am still part of the group that thinks that it is overrated and overhyped and maybe not worth it, but I live here so maybe I take it for granted. I ended up not going. This was not the year for me to finally go. I had been walking all over for the past two days and was looking forward to a boring night at home. Besides it was cold with snow and rain(snain) and the area I wanted to be in was closed early and I didn''t feel like waiting for ten hours without restroom facilities. The rule is if you leave your spot you can't come back. OMG listen to me. Does cheese come with that whine? It just wasn't the right time. maybe next year.
I would've been the last person to think I'd ever own a pair of Crocks. They represented everything wrong with overhyped, herd mentality trends to me.
Well imagine my suprise when I opened up these beauties on Christmas (I like to think of them as he illegitimate love child of Crocks Crocs and Uggs, due to the fur lining).
I am hesitant to admit it, but these ugly shoes are really, really comfortable.

One of the most popular things to do in Hanoi is attending a show at the water puppet theater. The puppets, made of wood, dance on the water following traditional Vietnamese music. The traditional water puppets are world famous.

Overhyped web description
Steep Hill in Lincoln has an average gradient of 16.12°, making it one of the steepest streets in England. This translates to a 14% gradient, with the steepest sections reaching up to 20%. The hill's challenging ascent is part of its charm, attracting visitors who enjoy its historic atmosphere and independent shops along the way.
20% translates to 1 in 5 old money.
Steep Hill connects Lincoln Uphill to the town centre and retail centre which are on the level plain. It was formerly known as Ermine Street and is currently being maintained by the Lincolnshire County Council. It was built by the Romans to connect the different growing parts of Lincoln.
Not sure what's the deal with me and this Fate/Grand Order character. I am not a fan of this franchise at all. In fact, I rather dislike it. I tried the game out for a few months many years ago, and quit - it just wasn't for me. And it was (and still is?) so overhyped it bombarded me in all directions. It reminds me of how I feel about Harry Potter *rolls eyes*. Ahem - anyway! Despite those, likely unpopular, sentiments - I do really admire this character's design. He's super pretty, and I love the incorporation of pink and white. He translates beautifully to nendoroid form, and I remember staring at his pictures on my facebook feeds two years ago, trying extremely hard to scrounge up reasons to purchase him. I didn't in the end, and was filled with immense regret that I instantly bought him the moment I realised he was still available online 18 months later. I'm just thrilled he's a part of my nendo collection ^^

It didn't seem that super. Maybe it was overhyped.
Either way, this is my best photo of Supermoon on Saturday 19th March 2011.
Recently I took a trip to the US, and per usual, I look for unloved toys to adopt along the way.. but generally I fail miserably because of the exchange rate. This time, on the way back to Canada, I passed through Buffalo, and along the way I picked up a straggler - the Union Creative HDGE Technical Statue No. 6 - Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost In The Shell S.A.C.
The character needs no introduction. She's not even the first one of this character that has graced my page. Having said all that, this statue is considered by most to be the one that truly captures the character design from this particular series of the show It's hard to disagree when artists generally took some artistic liberties when they worked on other statues, in particular the face followed by her curves, with this one adhering much closer to the source material.
I imagine this is why the aftermarket price on this statue is absurdly high, especially if you get the versions with the translucent legs.
Statue comes with the main statue and the base, a simple triangular base. Her pistol comes permanently attached
Now, because the aftermarket price is absurd, and I'm cheap, I ended up rescuing this one despite it not being in the best shape. Of course, i didn't pay anywhere close to current market prices.
The various photos show off not only the overall beautiful sculpt which also includes some nice detailing on the jacket and musculature, but also, the battle damage this poor statue endured, which included scuffs and general damage. Some of it, to my surprise, kind of cleaned off but took off some of the base paint, which is unfortunate but at least it's relatively the same colour. But there's no coming back from broken bits.
At least the face itself survived in tact.
So this statue retailed for about 11,000 Yen back in 2018 or so, and is somewhere between 1/6 and 1/7 in scale. So effectively modern pricing, which isn't exactly outrageous. I just expected that for all the price that it would have at least Bishoujo level of finishes. As mentioned, the overall sculpt isn't bad at all. But there are some some rough finishes in terms of sanding, most notable on her exposed shoulder and the right thigh. Fit is acceptable but I've definitely seen better Some people have pointed out the shading on the skin is a bit odd looking, but it's not as odd as having the exposed back being a different skin tone. The seam on the hair isn't particularly well hidden (or at all) but at least the colouring there is right. Paint work is competent, about what I'd expect from something in this price point.
So overall, this statue pretty much is what I'd expect from this price point, given the license and all that. But its certainly not flawless, and it's times like that I'm glad that I just opted for a damaged one. If I had dropped the current asking price of like $300 USD on this piece, I'd be pissed, even if was pristine.
I guess it's safe to say that even anime statue collectors can get sucked up into the hype.

Went here the other Sunday after accidentally going to the bar next door the day before for lunch. First noticed it after walking by looking for the Contact Toronto Photography Festival gallery at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MOCCA).
It was quite busy so we assumed it was good. Indeed, the host indicated that the wait would be one hour. We ended up going to Czehoski where I tried their burger that night, which is another story.
In the end, it seemd overhyped. Not bad, but not much special.
Apparently, this is a Richardson landmark. When we moved here, we were told how lucky we were to be near such a great place. We tried it once. It was good, but I think it got overhyped and my expectations were too high.

New York, New York. What can I say about this world-class city? This month took me on a business trip to what they call the Big Apple, where the 52nd President of the United States Bill Clinton was the VIP for an event I was helping to put together.
I was supposed to be there for 9 days but it got extended to 14 days due to the volcano ash cloud plane cancellations. My division boss almost got all of us onto a private jet back to London but the CEO didn't approve. He was trying to keep costs low - apparently a $90,000 price tag for the charter which could sit 15 didn't sound that appealing. A missed opportunity, I suppose.
STILL - I am glad I was on company expense while stuck in New York. More hotels, more meals, more time to see the sights.
Did probably everything a first time visitor can do - Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Grand Central Station, Wall Street, Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as the areas of Little Italy, East Village, Broadway, Soho, Chinatown (numerous times!), Times Square; and clubbing at the famous Cielo (overhyped thought) and Pacha (which I actually liked!).
How can one forget Times Square? After seeing photos of Times Square my entire life, walking there, surrounded by all the giant digital displays and neon lights, gave me the goose bumps. There is no such thing as a whisper or a whimper - this is New York, this is America. Everything screams at you!
But maybe the goose bumps were due to the cold, howling winds that first night.

IS HUBRIS HURTING SCIENCE?
Ambition is the fuel of progress—the stuff that pushes wide-eyed scientists and engineers to pull endless all-nighters in the lab, that motivates inventors and entrepreneurs to bounce back after each defeat. But does having too much of this special sauce lead to self-delusion? At what point does one’s fervent belief in the potential of a new technology or therapy translate into overhype? We sit down with Guardant Health CEO Helmy Eltoukhy to talk about the need for internal reality checks—and ask a question that would be unthinkable in Silicon Valley: Are we rushing our way to failure?

- then off thru Spain several weeks to Venice and settle there awhile. I'll be out of touch more or less till I get to Venice. I'd go to Paris but I have only 150 dollars and have to hole up with friend in Venice cheap. Paris costs even more in summer. Don't know where the next loot comes from, but I guess things will work out alright, whatever happens. All mail previously sent to me here or Paterson will be forwarded to

remaining behind here a month more and will take care of that. I guess I'll receive the books (25 copies) in Venice. Gave [Paul] Bowles my last copy. He's been very nice, dug the poetry, still follows little magazines where he can get them. AG
People think of Venice as expensive and overhyped. I think of Venice in terms of art, history, and literature.
My night itinerary was surreal:
Stop #1
Libreria Acqua Alta
Stop #2
Dinner at Bacaro Vintido 22.
What makes that place special is not just its over 1000 reviews and 4.7 rating but also its shelves of books and rugs on the floor. It makes you feel as if you’re having dinner at an old-fashioned Italian library home library.
Stop #3
This interesting bookshop
Bookshop Damocle Edizioni
This bookshop is in English, Italian & Russian.
And has books in English, Italian & Russian.
www.instagram.com/bookshopdamocleedizioni?igsh=YnB0dW5jZj...
Then a long walk to over 100-year-old hotel/museum in a pouring rain. I believe a rainy night in Venice is the most romantic! As long as it’s not flooding.
I love Venice so much! ❤️
I say good for Finland. This tournament is completely overhyped thanks to TSN and the fans. I went to a couple games, sure, but I really have no ability to care if Canada wins gold or not. The only people I feel bad for when Canada loses is the players, that's it. Otherwise, seeing Canada fans get pissed is hilarious to me.
He who speaks, sows; he who listens, reaps--Argentine Proverb.
Be a good listener, your ears will never get you in trouble. Jiffy is the good listener dog our pack adores. The ball-playing, fun-loving Rottweiller mix is the pressure relief valve for Fox's overhyped verbal reflex.
Fox is adjusting to the new home and new pack, but still doesn't know how to meet and greet stranger dogs. Growing up running wild, talking doggy trash to the other wild dogs--well, Mr. Fox is in need of some retraining in canine etiquette.
But Jif doesn't care--he just wants to play ball. In fact, when Fox and Coco really start laying it on--Jif just smiles. "If speaking is silver, then listening is gold," say the Turks. Besides, a barking dog can't hold a ball in its mouth, or steal a ball, either.
My training plan for Fox involves getting playdates with easy-going, energetic, non-violent dogs, who will help me tire him out, blunt his youthful enthusiasm. It's Life coming full-circle, really--because years ago, when Jiffy was an unruly, undisciplined guy who couldn't be trusted off the leash, Chloe (Fox's predecessor) was his dogpark mentor. Another good example of how the pack raises it's own.

When I was in high school, my friends and I would often go to Uno's on 3rd Ave. It's now some other restaurant but when I'd be up on Columbus shopping or somewhere else uptown, if there was a Uno's I'd be there. A friend of mine introduced me to the world of deep dish pizza and Ioved it, but only Uno's version.
Well, in Chicago, there's also Giordano's. Yes, it's touristy. Yes, it's a bit overhyped. Yes, it's crowded. Yes, it's a bit formulaic. But a popular Chicago deep dish place had to be patronized, and we ended up at the one in the Prudential Center.
Mine was spinach. It wasn't quite what I'd expected. For some reason, spinach was listed as a meat, in that to have spinach cost extra than all the other vegetables. Not sure why, since it wasn't chock full of it or anything.
I know it's a touristy thing and initially we weren't going to bother but I was starving and I can't lie, a stew sounded really good.
We knew enough not to go to Tony's, so we just walked around looking for a place and stumbled across Miroma.
Cozido is a stew that's made in the ground at using geothermal heat. And, let me say, it was delicious! The pork trotter and hock was so tasty, the other pork and chicken juicy. Even the tripe (pork stomach) which I normally hate was really good.
While the cozido may be overhyped and not tasty at other places, I was glad we had it here.

Oh goodness, Antonio.
A small pile of us met up at Old Monk for what shall be known as Ryan's birthday brunch. It was fun! Speaking of Antonio, his ladyfriend lives in Dallas now, and has become a weekly attendee of our brunch festivities. I think she's going to fit in nicely.
What? Videogames? Ok! Did that. All afternoon. I guess I should note that, while it's a ton of fun playing with friends online who live all over, Titanfall is pretty much OK as a game. #OverHype
What did this game lack?
Too many encounters felt railed. Too many weapons, not enough stealth, silly AI... Many areas, to be sure, required more polish - polish that ND was likely able to give with their constraints - but on the whole, overhyped and overblown as much of the reception was, it remains one of my favourite games.
311 semi interesting pages really. This book is no more than a overhyped version of a tutorial-site. I had some hopes for this book, but it didn't deliver half of that.
If you're a tutorial-slave designer or newbie, this book is for you. Otherwise, don't bother.
View from a bridge over Ili River at Yining during sunset. Known as the only major west-flowing river in China, the sunset over Ili River is a great sight known to many Chinese travellers. Yeah, it is definitely not overhyped.

So another night we meet up with Jieun's father's side of the family. But wait, let me back up a bit.
That morning, we go to Onnuri English service, which the vast majority of Korean-Americans go to when they're in Seoul. I dunno, but for some reason I hyped it way up in my mind, and I think I overhyped it, because it was just OK. They did the Korean thing of making newcomers stand and having everyone stare at them.
The thing that distracted me was the worship leader had a fairly noticeable accent that came through in the songs we were singing. Like, we're singing Not To Us, and he's singing lines like "de uneeburse, speening and speening... your children dencing dencing dencing" I dunno, I'm wrong but it was killing me.
We also found out about the head pastor's cancer surgery and that made me really sad. I actually attended the Korean service with my aunt last time I was in Korea and there was something really peaceful about his countenance. I dunno, he seems like a great man.
OK, so after church we went to meet them for dinner, some traditional Korean meal with a bunch of courses, wholly unlike any Korean meal I've had before. Even the cousins weren't totally familiar with it. Anyway, wasn't very good. Heavy on the dduk, just kind of weird tasting all around. Not a fan.
After that we go to the Starbucks where we have a Green Tea Frappucino, which is delicious, and a sweet potato pie, also delicious.
Jieun's two family sides are extremely different, which was interesting to me. But probably not to you.
this is one experience we did not overhype. watch this: bigbigbigheartbeat.tumblr.com/post/1042180501/after-our-f....
Noah Lyles was favored to win gold in the 200 meters but had to settle for bronze. Another overhyped American.
On several spots in Berlin you can find beautiful old factories from around 1900. Unfortunately many of them are in desperate need of more than just a paint job.
This specific one, which covers the respectable area of an entire city block, has been totally revamped and thus received a second life as a cultural centre. Here, around the central courtyard, you'll find a concert hall, several clubs, restaurant an bars, many artist studio's, a music shop, an Apple dealer, etc..
The atmosphere during the night was just a little bit 'over the top' for my liking though. I have a strong feeling some of the clubs have been heavily overhyped in the past year(s). Good for them though, I guess.
The good kind. Not the overhyped Noddy car currently produced.
Parked up at Manningtree Co-op this evening. No registration number front or back, but had a 'NL' sticker on the back. Looked immaculate.
The first time I have had oysters properly, and what a way and time to start! They were ok actually, really good but i don't know if they're not overhyped.
