I thought this group looks amusing as the hen birds where foraging,Being watched over by the cock birds!! At " BOSSINGTON"
Did you notice that, whenever some male orders a coffee in a movie, he always insists it may be "black" without sugar or milk? Sometimes he even says "real black please", or " blacker than black".
A typical, silly pose of those wannabe-Machos, who desperately try to appear "tough".
The refined Gentlemen, of course, drinks TEA. And if he takes a coffee, then it will be with enough cream and sugar to make that shit somehow tasty.
I won my first Elections for state-representative by holding Tea-Parties.
Nixon probably drank a lot of Coffee, that's why he lost. No one really likes excessive Coffee Drinkers. There's always an atmosphere of stress surrounding them. No one likes stressed Presidents, especially in Cold War times.
Diana drinks one coffee in the morning. Well, I am not sure if I should call this obscure powder she puts into her mug, in order to create some instant "Cappuccino", a coffee. I watch very carefully over her nutrition habits and I can't say I approve the use of overly processed products that barely reveal their original composition.
But since it is only one cup a day, I let her get away with it. No use to bee too severe. I try to educate her by inviting her to consume the good things, not by prohibiting the bad ones. That was always my philosophy, by the way. In all matters.

This window shows the introductory page of St Matthew in the Lindisfarne Gospel Book. From the same book comes the ornate Chi Ro - the Incarnation. The style of these works is a fusion of Roman, Celtic and Anglo Saxon art. The background shows the oldest known text of St Matthews Gospel written in Greek.

At Ship Cove, about to start our day tramp on the Queen Charlotte Track. A treat for our 2nd Wedding Anniversary - we loved having our overnight gear transported for us and only having to carry a day bag, then staying at a luxury lodge for the night before heading home!

The word "tattoo" is from a dutch word for "last orders". It literally means, close the beer tap. Military commanders would have their pipers and drummers play through the neighbouring towns when out on assignment to tell their men they needed to place their last orders and head back to camp. The signal also let the local pubs know it was high time to cut off any military men still hanging around.
Eventually, as military men were no longer billeted out the "tattoo" or last orders of the day became more of a performance and evening entertainment.
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo first began in 1950 to 6000 spectators. Now, each night of the tattoo draws in 8600 spectators. The Tattoo has been sold out in advance for the past decade.
The Tattoo donates most (if not all) profit to charitable causes and has donated somewhere around 5 Million pounds. The night we were there, they were donating the money to the families of fallen comrades in war.
For me, the two most magical moments were the massed band at the end of the show and then the lone piper up on the castle battlements. It's always been a dream of mine to see the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and I'm so glad it finally came true.
