The Urban Fox
Wild foxes have learned to adapt to the urban environment in order to survive. By nature, foxes are nocturnal and hunt at night, whereas the urban fox has adapted its behavior to survive and can be seen during daylight hours.
Locally, a fox vixen has located her den in the foundational remains of a razed building complex along the boardwalk at the Jersey Shore. She has six Kits, which can be seen frolicking in the debris and along the dunes during the day. The fox family has become local celebrities and unfortunately people have begun feeding them. Never feed wild animals. Although you may feel as if you’re helping them survive, you are actually harming them. Feeding foxes can alter their natural behavior and they may lose its fear of humans.
“Wildlife that is fed by people become less experienced at forging for their natural food and may become dependent on handouts that are not a part of their natural diets. This is especially true in juvenile animals that have not yet developed their own foraging skills and have little ability to fend for themselves once handouts cease.” ~ Julie King, Senior Wildlife Biologist

Red Fox
The Red Fox, Vulpes vulpes, is the largest of the true foxes and the most abundant wild member of the Carnivora, being present across the entire Northern Hemisphere from the Arctic Circle to North Africa, North America and Eurasia. It is listed as least concern by the IUCN. Its range has increased alongside human expansion, having been introduced to Australia, where it is considered harmful to native mammals and bird populations. Due to its presence in Australia, it is included among the list of the "world's 100 worst invasive species".

A planet full of colourful fauna and corrupt power. not long after Order 66, the newly formed Empire began sending its troops to this planet. For a time, a Padawan named Sarrel Torall worked as a farmer's helper to hide from the Jedi purge. Moments before these horrific events that spanned the galaxy at the end of the Clone Wars, Sarrel and his master were stationed on one of the planets in the Aida Sector. Their job was to patrol and gather knowledge about the inhabitants of the sector. On the day the newly named Emperor issued Order 66, Sarrel's master died saving his life. It was then that he went to the planet Makeb where the clone troops were not yet stationed. There he took the name Orill Jasto and began to go into hiding. For a while, he led a peaceful life there, but unfortunately, everything had to end when he could no longer see how the planet's authorities treated its inhabitants. He betrayed himself by using his lightsaber to rescue a young boy from the Hutt men. His feat was recorded by a droid and the imperial authorities were informed of his location shortly afterwards. To hide he went deep into the caves. From time to time he would go to a town nearby for supplies, and one day he overheard a conversation between the town's mayor and an Imperial officer. What he heard made him sick of hiding. These two high-ranking people had decided to slaughter half the population of the nearby village for their "insubordination", but what he didn't know was that it was a trap made specifically with him in mind....

Another gray day in the city did lend to much adventuring, but that's okay. I managed to get a lot done around the house and Scott and I even managed to motivate ourselves to go get the groceries done.
Of course we took a side trip to the bookstore first and I was able to pick up a couple novels and a collection of short stories while Scott gathered a wish list for his Kindle.
All in all, not a bad start to the weekend.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

In my balcony garden, I have had great success with a plant commonly known as the African Daisy or osteospermum. They come in a variety of colors and shapes and the one I have is the more common purple colored flowering plant that I picked up from our local garden shop. Being in LA the plant displays its very vivid flowers throughout the year and requires very little watering. Over the years I have noticed that the flowers of the plant are very reactive to the sun and in the winter months will only go full blossom while the sun is shining on them. I also noticed that if it rains for a couple of days at a stretch the flowers tend to change their color to a burnt orange color tone before wilting away. The gradation of these two colors on the flower is often spectacular but as you can imagine this is quite a rare occurrence in LA.
So, when it rained for almost a whole week, I had hope and my African Daisy delivered. I also decided to check the usage of a new gadget I acquired quite cheaply called the macro slider. This image is a stacked focus image of over 15 images that were stacked using Helicon Focus software. It was a painful process and I learned how methodical you must be to take a stacked macro shot of such a small subject. I am really happy about the way this turned out and by the final image. I’d love to take more images like this using the focus stacking technique.
DEM1346 LK62DEU and DEM1339 LK62DBZ both seen at Chalk Farm, Morrison's on route 393.
Route 393 was meant to receive DEMs but the ordered supply by ADL has gone wrong by ordering the length of a DEL. For a while, transferred DEMs from Potters Bar and loaned ENSs from Arriva are currently being used.

Jedi General Dyer Miin led the 17th Airborne Division through the light forest. Captain Nym, a seasoned veteran trooper of the Clone Wars followed closely behind.
Miin stopped, and turned to face Nym.
“Stay put, Captain. I’m going to go look out ahead.”
“Copy that, General.”
Nym turned to the rest of the division.
“You heard her! Stay put!”
His holocom beeped to life. A cloaked figure appeared before him. The Chancellor.
“Captain Nym, the time has come. Execute Order 66.”
Nym turned, looking at Miin’s back.
“It will be done.”
He raised his rifle, and gestured with his hand. The division’s blasters came alive.

Here’s my App for Dark Times (finally). This is the first time I’ve ever built actual trees, and to make me hate myself even more I made the entire base loose and freeform out of cheese slopes. :)
Enjoy!
The overall design on these has really grown on me since they were first unveiled, and I have to say I'm very much looking forward to next Thursday.
A cold eerie feeling shivered down my spine "execute, Order... 66."
it sang in my mind over and over again, a blaster bolt whizzed by my curious head, I thought we had killed all of the droids. I turn around to see my own men shooting at me, their blasters set to kill. I pulled my lightsaber out and the bright green colour became to sizzle, I stride 2 feet forward and jump towards them, dodging left right and... Everything goes white, I look to my hands, both of them look healthy and young, unlike my 1 scarred hand and robotic arm. I notice movement to my left, I look up to see my old master with his shriveled skin
"Master Balo... I... I thought you were... Where am I?" I say shivering
"come, my padawan. You have much to learn."
We both walk into the glary white light, together.
I made a 2025 Calendar: tinyurl.com/4zb8xery
Every month is a BW image I took this past year. Basically, every month is a new print hanging on your wall as well as getting a good overview of that month.
