In spirituality, green is the color of the anahata or heart chakra. It is also the color of nature. Green orbs can reveal the presence of a human soul/spirit. Green orbs symbolize a spirit that is one with nature and love.

Orb-weaver spiders are members of the spider family Araneidae. They are the most common group of builders of spiral wheel-shaped webs often found in gardens, fields, and forests. The English word orb can mean "circular", hence the English name of the group. Araneids have eight similar eyes, hairy or spiny legs, and no stridulating organs.

I'm fairly certain this is an orb weaver spider but it was very tiny. Apparently when I was watering the flowers I doused him and his web and he was very busy recreating his handiwork.
Forest spirit orb,
Seen, and unseen, by some men,
Reflects nature’s soul;
Hauntingly reminding us
It is time to pay the toll…

I think it might be an alien egg. Trying new things thanks to Brando. Back out at summit park despite the rain making a solid orb inside the horizontal orb.

Digging through the archives...from last year. A few years ago, the auto-focus on my 100mm macro lens crapped out, and I've really missed using that lens more often. Very hard to catch critters with manual focus!
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!
