I had just been reading about this phenomenon and I was outside later that night to take some photos of Timmy. I decided to take some photos of the pond while the waterlily's are still blooming. I didn't see the orb until later when I unloaded the camera. This was the only shot that was this bright, some others had some very dim almost unnoticeable orb's showing up.
Here's the website I was reading: www.unknowncountry.com/edge/sphere/
It's Whitley Streibers website. One of my favorite authors.
Here's the Wiki page on Orbs: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orb_(paranormal)
One of three different edits of the same image.
It was taken in the lobby of one of the financial buildings downtown. Really cool glass orbs just hanging from the celing on steel cables. Was fun to shoot as the receptionisist was watching me wondering what the hell I was doing lol.
Taken out at the Baylands Trails in Sunnyvale.
This is a spider, I promise. Steve spotted it and had to point it out to me pretty closely before I could see it. It's all balled up like a fist, which camouflages it pretty well against this spiky plant.
It was sitting next to an orb web; but I don't know for sure that it was his.
Did this tonight for the first time, so hard to get a perfect orb, more practice needed but generally really happy with these two shots!
Several years later we were staying in a village in France close to Morêt Sur Loing . It's only ten minutes down the rail line from Fountainbleu . There is a nice little park at the edge of the Sur Loing and right therebefore my eyes, by the bridge, was an Orb.
Insane orange orbs with a small reflection on the bottom resulting from 4 red LED's and a 1/16000 second shutter time. Close-up.
Possibly Eriophora pustulosa like www.flickr.com/photos/malcolm_nq/8738953737/ three months ago but only a couple of metres away.
The first one is still there, too, unless its twin has taken its preferred spot.
Our guide really wanted orb shots, so I took a few with my on-camera flash to see if I got any. After a few of us brave one trekked through the dust in the old laundry room, the air was full of motes.
our favourite park near where we lived in birmingham...done on warm tone fibre paper, developer painted on, with leaves/stems photogram-ed around the edges
An Orb Weaver in the spotlight. This is the second Orb Weaver that has taken up residence on my deck.
Thousands of photos, this is my first orb.
I was using a flash and it was a bit misty out but, you can still choose to believe that it is a ghost.
It is a bit odd that it is right infront of my eyes.
