Here is a photo of a corneal dellen taken at the slitlamp. These occur when a localized area of the cornea thins from dehydration. This occured here because of an area of chemosis at 3-oclock which wasn't allowing the tear film to cover the area well.

Best-known as Jackson's Jewelers & Optometry - shedding the jewelry business sometime later. The entire front facade is covered by siding, but was refreshed around 2010 or so.

Floors are mostly stable and there's alot of crap on the second floor worth sifting through, still. Third floor is empty and was probably apartments, originally. There's a badly-rotten addition in the rear but I was able to get to the second floor of it - not much to see.

The circular window of the almost-complete Patient Care Center is shaping up to be the literal eye on the University of Missouri–St. Louis campus. It’s an appropriate architectural statement, considering the center will house the College of Optometry’s clinic.

On the inside, the window’s glass casts sunlight in colorful rays over the welcome area below. See UMSL Daily’s sneak peek into the building this past March. (blogs.umsl.edu/news/2016/03/10/patient-care-center/)
