Was optimistic that the sunset might produce some colour, so rang fellow Newcastle Sundance member Pom (aka John) and ventured the 45minutes from home to Valentine NSW.
Looking across Lake Macquarie - this image taken between the trees towards a public jetty and beyond towards Mark's Point.
A closer look will reveal cobwebs and spiders hanging between the trees, note also the heron in the shallows beyond the grasses.
Not much of a sunset colourwise, but a good time had by all anyway!

This was a statue of orphans standing outside of an orphanage in the Ukraine. It's kind of Soviet-esque the way they look toward the future as they rust and decay...

Today I'm feeling a bit more optimistic.
I now have something to look forward to - I made plans to go home next month and stay until the New Year.
I need to see my dear ones, breath some czech air and clear my head!
I can't wait to go!
I feel that better times are just round the corner! But there's still a lot of fog inside my mind just now...
