Friedrich Nietzsche

I can't believe I'm almost done with my 52 Weeks Project. When I started, I was quite optimistic about seeing it through right up until the end but I'll admit, it hasn't been easy - especially when I started University. Some of the pictures I've produced have been, at times, adequate at best - I'll openly admit that when I look back, some of my work has been immensely disappointing.

I have gained so much from taking a photo every week, which has included some part of me. I'd say it's been a sort of voyage of self discovery, and something to focus on when I've had nothing else to consider. I've hated it with a passion at times, and loved it so much at others.

I'm going to take my final picture on New Year's Eve / New Year's Day. I'll be spending my time with Megan, we're going to Lindsay's house for a party. I haven't seen her in forever - you know that "forever" when you speak to your friend on the phone and they mention someone who is no longer in your life? That forever ;) Friday is going to consist of a lot of laughter and gossip. I'm looking forward to it :]

When we bought our house four years ago, I was excited about all of the fruit trees in the backyard. However, I haven't had much of a chance to enjoy any of the fruit the trees have produced.

Squirrels and birds do a pretty good job eating all of the good stuff before I can get to it. But this tangerine tree has popped with tons of fruit in the past week or two so I'm hoping to get some good ones before the animals do. The fact that they're still on the tree leads me to believe they are pretty sour.

This necklace was designed out of a combined love for both distinctive jewelry and paper products. Gemstones of bright yellow aragonite, citrus lime chyrsoprase, and purple riverstone join forces with ribbon and art paper to make a unique, eye-catching piece.

Among the gemstones is a handmade, patterned bead. Tiny strips of fine art paper are meticulously placed on a round, wooden bead, and then sealed with layers of high gloss. This bead projects a one-of-a-kind pattern featuring silvery leaves against a dark plum background No two pieces will ever be the same!

Hanging from antiqued brass chain, Edith's statement necklace includes hand-dyed silk ribbon, with shades of sunshine and clouds mixing like a watercolor painting. As shown, the necklace measures 19 inches, but length can be adjusted.
