In want of a clear sky, in the bell tower on Mingfeng Hill, Kunming (Yunnan). The tower built in 1984 houses a 580-year-old copper bell which is three point 5 m high and 14 t bell.

I drew this one to remind myself that while optimism is a great perspective, one needs to take into account the reality of the situation at times. Sometimes, betting against the odds of 1 to 100, we take the leap anyway.

Problem is, that we're not designed to understand probability. We think that 1 in 100 represents a good chance of success. And see no difference between 1 in 10000 and 1 in 1000000.

I think the best balance is still, Thinking optimiscally and acting cynically, a very hard task. But hey, the best minds can hold two conflicting thoughts at once. Let's strive for that.
