Chinese delegates representing universities in China came to visit Macquarie University. This was a fantastic oppurtunity to learn what sustainable intiatives are being undertaken and to exchange knowledge.
As much as i hate to see caged animals, it is really great to have to oppurtunity to take photos of them. I love animals and i never get tired of snapping photos of them..they are truly magnificent!
My sister was given the oppurtunity to do some interior design work for one of the homes featured in this year's Homearama.
She wanted me to go out and snap a few photos for her portfolio. These are a few of the better looking shots I think. I may add more if I have time to edit them some.
New years eve 2012 is couple of days ahead. Holiday season gave me an oppurtunity to visit Muir woods national monument for the second time in the same week.
After completing my hike on the Ocean view trail just before reaching Bridge 2 (trail to bridge 1 was closed due to construction) I was looking for an oppurtunity to grab a wonderful shot.
The trees around the redwoods were so green I was trying to get a clear shot of the beauty by avoiding the wilderness confusion. Finally it all came down to the trees next to the stream with light green leaves, brown soil and dark clear waters.

Today is Elvis Presley's birthday - so I'm thinking the water cooler talk all across Memphis are memories of Elvis. I think it's time to gather up some friends and take a road trip to Graceland (for reasons I cannot explain). I've visited once before and it's a rare oppurtunity to see how a legend lived. How often do we ever get to walk through some famous house? There's the White House, the Monticello... I'm drawing a blank... I've brought my house from a now famous Christian musician some 22 years ago and once in a while, I'll have someone knock on the door asking to take a picture of the house.. but really there's nothing see inside other than this is where he took a shower.

May 2006. Xiahe lies at the confluence of the high grassland regions of the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau and lowland forest regions that support agriculture. Thus the area offers a unique oppurtunity to see how sedentary Tibetan agriculturalists and nomadic pastoral Tibetans interact with one another.
Thought I'd use the oppurtunity to take some scenic photos as I found myself wondering where the bloody hell 'Bloomfield' was near Taunton. Ended up wandering in all kinds of directions and found this great spot.
Though getting out of the spot was a little daunting.

First of the dancers who have been kind to participate are two students, Sattriya dancers, from centre of performing arts at DU - Bhagyashree Senapati and Purasmita Bordoloi; Also I had an oppurtunity to capture.a bunch of youth who do their physical training on the banks of Brahmaputra, The fishermen's village that lives on Brahmaputra

Taken at the start of the womens tour 2014 in Oundle, Unfortunatley (or fortunatly dependant of your view point) I got stuck in a traffic jam due to the rolling road closures for 20min, so took the oppurtunity to grab the camera and get some shots as they passed by

The start of what never turned into a mentionable sport carreer .. i dont even remember the events where i collected them .. except voor Heropening SPORT en SAUNA Den Edel where i had the oppurtunity of fighting Wim Ruska who kicked me on the floor with a first swift footstroke .. the strong before the weak that is.
There aren't too many oppurtunities to take a wrong turn in the Sahara. The GPS had earlier shown 300 miles to next turning.

This is a really nice set! Hardbound, the colors are lovely, and the are signed. This is 969/1000.
I like the "bad" Mask better than the do-gooder one, tis funnier. And while I don't completely hate the movie with Jim Carrey, I think there was a huge missed oppurtunity with the source material. It could have been beautifully bloody.
This shot would work out nice in Hong Kong, but I lost the best oppurtunity in Japan with the same shrimp on beautiful bulby anemone stalks.

For my packaging class we had to design and develop a Point of Purchase (POP) structural package form.
For this project I had to select an existing brand that sells a single breakable item and launch a new multiple POP package for the brand. The reveal is 50% of its contents & consumers will be able to see &touch the items and through this oppurtunity, they will experience a more profound emotional connection with its contents...
The final dieline of this package is created from one sheet of paper, without the need of any inserts &glue flaps and is designed only through innovative and secure locking flaps and folds... (see dieline)

I've gone two days without doing a YIP. But with the gorgeous sky today, there was no way I was letting the oppurtunity slide again. This is the historic Adluh Flour mill in Columbia, SC. I tried to use a mostly empty parking lot to get new vantage points.
On December 5, 2015 I had the oppurtunity to participate in
Help-Portrait, a global initiative that brings photographers, hairstylist, and makeup artist together to use their skills to give back to those in need. This year Help-Portrait Las Vegas partnered with the U.S. Vets center in downtown Las Vegas to work with homeless veterans on the path to recovery to
capture their portraits and share their stories. These are some of my favorites from the day.

Part of the 'Wonderlijke Klim' exhibition. The 'wondrous climb' gives visitors what might be a once in a lifetime oppurtunity to see the 96 unique sculptures on the flying butresses of the Sint Janskathedraal in (saint John's cathedral) in 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch). The Sint Jan is only one of four cathedrals in the world to have such sculptures. Instead of saints or angels, they depict monsters and common city people, from the architects and masons who worked on the cathedral, to beggars and musicians.
The 'wonderlijke klim' exhibition coincides with the grand Jheronymous Bosch exhibition at the Noord-Brabants Museum in Den Bosch, celebrating the 500th anniversary of the painter's death. Like the paintings of Bosch, the sculptures on the cathedral butresses are from the late middle ages, and depict monsters and common folk, which was a new theme in art at that time. Art from the early and high middle ages often depicted saints, angels and biblical scenes, but certainly not the common workfolk or even beggars. To have them adorning the outside of the cathedral no less, is very unique, and something that could only have been concieved in that particular time and place. Apparently, Jheronymous Bosch personally knew the artist very well who designed these sculptures.

In this picture, my eye is the blue one. My sister, Laurel is on the left. I thought this really neat because we have the same mom and dad, who both have blue eyes, and so does my older sister. It reminded my of the Extra Credit oppurtunity I did. You can be so close, but yet so different. My grandma actually took this picture. I told her I wanted it up close and personal. My eye is the main image of this picture.
