I have a back up archive of one of Linda Kellie's beach sim scenes made for OpenSim. This one is running on OpenSimulator 0.7.3. This is about a year ago back in development for OS. It was interesting to see how Singularity's latest update handled on it. The current version I'm using is the 1.8.4 Win 64-bit viewer.
Most things worked, including many of the new features on Singularity, particularly the mesh bump and glossiness where you can add multiple textures (so far, only found on the 64-bit version of Singularity, 32-bit doesn't have it). The few notable differences that showed the age for the client side was that OS 0.7.3 did not have support for the modern 'add to worn' multiple attachment feature. This, if I remember correctly, was put in the 0.7.4 update, and is currently used in the 0.7.6 version of OS.
Another thing that didn't work as well on the client side was the texture mapping was a bit off, so I had to use a different, less realistic texture for Ioh's hair. But the new viewer features mentioned worked great, and looked pretty decent.
One thing I miss about this version of the client is how it was less laggy. I could have the viewer settings up to the max and have less slow down than I do on the current OS 0.7.6. Yeah, part of it is I need to get a new laptop, but that's not going to happen for a while. But it did feel nice to have all graphics settings up to the max and be able to walk around on the older OS client software. But, since the 0.7.6 version has better graphics, even on the lower settings, I'm still keeping with that for the main Home Grid simulation. That is, at least until the next OS client update. =~.^=

Here's a quick build of a landing craft in Open Sim. Something like a mil surplus LCVP.
Just after it was finished the Skidsteer machine appeared as a free dowload from Ener Hax at iliveisl.com/ . Droppping the Skidsteer in seemed like a good idea, and it fits nicely.
I thought that might be something people could do with old landing craft, and sure enough, truth mirrors the virtual, here www.safetyboatservices.co.uk/shifter.html

Yep. Works. :)
You can test it yourself by visiting Pathlandia and clicking on the cube next to the campfire that says "Click me to create an NPC based on your appearance."
Clicking it will create an NPC that will move to where you are, say hello, then just stand there.
To remove the NPC, click the cube that says "Click me to delete all NPCs."
For more info on how NPCs work in Opensim, see opensimulator.org/wiki/OSSLNPC
