location Zonja´s Condensation Land in OpenSim, a clone world to Second Life, in full development.
Second Places has been working with Learning Teaching Scotland to create an online 3D art gallery for Scottish school students.
This uses OpenSim and a modified client which logs in via the LTS Glow network and which imposes some restrictions (required due to online safety/behaviour rules and regulations of different local councils)

OK, because I target the hypergrid as much as I want to be prepared for multiple sims, I split the services and did ad adviced to prepare everything. I even installed MySQL which I usually just do on virtual machines because I only need it for webdevelopment and don't want to crowd the system with uneccesary services (I already have a SQL Server Version running for a locally hosted webapp)
As it looked the part for the services did as named: it ran Robust. But when I started Open Sim... the trouble began. Oh the pain of textconfigurations of Opensource products. How I missed you.... NOT!

Uploaded at the current window size (was set to 2560 x 1440, more than the screen setting is set to.
Result:
The shot is full quality. The size of the resulting shot is 1924 x 1064. The inworld snapshot thumbnail & preview showed the correct preview.

The screenshots document that the similar settings, when used in Second Life and Opensim generate different results. This behavior persists since the latest beta release and it is present also in the final version. Firestom 64 bit for Second Life and Opensim was used to create these snapshots. First the clean reinstall of beta version was performed and no settings were automatically restored from the previous installation.
Uploads taken at the Opensim grid are not being uploaded for me with the best possible quality. To get them online I must save them first to disk. This way the procedure is longer, not so comfortable and the result does not contain data about the place where it was taken.
