It was my first opportunity in 10 years to capture very young ducklings under their mom. Unfortunately, it was impossible to get down the wall and take shots from a lower angle. Still, I was very happy to observe them a very long time. This little guy tried to step out and slipped on the rock and fell face first... poor sweet pea but did not take it long to get back on its feet and start another adventure. I can now say that I have finally went through all my spring and summer shots and I am up-to-date now.

The squirrels had been running all around teasing the kitties that had come to visit and this one had run back across the road and then came running back and I guess it forgot that the cat was at the base of the tree waiting for it... This is what you would call a screeching halt when the squirrel realized that the cat was there waiting.. I laughed right out loud at this crazy interchange...

I do have at least one more standing up photo. They say you should save the best until last, however not sure I've done that in this case but oh well! On the plus side I've only got today to get through and then 3 more days off. I'll also be off out to Wolverhampton tonight for the first time in a month (in Cesca mode anyway), hopefully catch up with a few friends and have a bit of a chill. Have a good un folks 💋

From my observations, Blue Jays are even worse than Cardinals at losing their balance and falling from a branch when very curious or anxious about something below. This one is reaching the point of no return.

Ooooops! The perils of creative photography. The Macro Mondays challenge this week is to take a macro photo of something lit by candleight - so Baby Jesus in some arty crinkly paper in a basket of course - very bad idea - but at least I rescued Baby Jesus!
