30ms delay dialled into the MIOPS.

Just been cycling on the other side of the gate, climbed over, then read the sign.

Looks like this Greater Spotted is about to topple over, but in fact he was about to take off!

We're babysitting on New Year's Eve and always like to have a project for the boys. The project I needed to try out before they get here today is magnetic slime. That's what the black stuff is. (Needs more iron oxide but it is slimy!)

I was aware of that photography is prohibited while the airplane is taxing , climbing and decending. So, I took this shot while we're still parking not even push back for taxing. Just right after I finished focusing and metering, an flight attendant's running toward me and.........you know, I saw it from view finder and just pressed the shutter ASAP!......XD

Originally, my intention is to take a photo of their serving, but, I think I like this shot better.

A bit of a new setup for me, though many have done similar before. Had to take a picture frame apart for a large enough piece of glass. Then a matching pair of boxes had to be found to get the same height either side.

Two sheets of white card, one below and one behind to bounce the light off.

A pair of flashes crossing over below the glass to provide a graduated background. On the left, a Neewer SF-01 mini slave flash, which has a fixed output as the main light and fitted with a Blazeo radio trigger. On the right and secondary light, a Yongnuo YN-460 set at 1/8th power and in slave mode.

The boxes the sheet of glass is resting on, have sheets of black card covering the sides to prevent the colour from being picked up in the pieces of the broken glass.

The result can be seen below :

2 small children all day - catch up with you all tonight :-) Couldn't bear to inflict damage on this beautiful car :-) Ok ok :-) I damaged it a bit - not very good - only had a couple of minutes while Lily watches Little Einstein :-)))

Showing off its scar from a sideswipe collision, Santa Fe GP7u #2020 sits on the RIP track in Corwith Yd. Built in Feb. 1952 this is the former #2714.

How not to take a photo of a bird! Nice fence-post, though. ;)))

At first you might think a poor driver but is actaully a car that was swept downstream years ago in a flash flood. We had heavy rains last night and this morning here in Iowa with warnings of possible flash floods - amazing their strength.

Before the unfortunate leaf blower incident, we were playing with fire!
