Shot with Nikon EM analog SLR and M42 mount Auto-Beroflex 28mm f/2.8 lens (mounted with adapter) on Kodak TMAX 400 black and white film.

The image quality when using M42 mount lens on Nikon EM is not great but the combination gives almost genuine looking retro finish to the photos: they are fuzzy, soft and not so sharp. That's not something I wished as I really like my M42 lenses on digital SLR.

You must have shadow and light source both.

Listen, and lay your head under the tree of awe.

When from that tree, feathers and wings sprout

on you, be quieter than a dove.

Don't open your mouth for even a cooooooo.

Today's a warm and windless day so I spent afternoon on the deck.

Glass of smoothies, camera, pretty daisies pot and music.... all my favorites!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! :-)

Taken with Nikon D80 and Nikon Series E 28mm f/2.8 @ f/5.6. Nikon SB-28 on camera @ 1/4 for lighting.

I'm amazed. The 28mm f/2.8 E is sharp!

There is something I find alluring in dying flowers. I'm not obsessed with death, in any way shape or form. I just find the flowers still possess their beauty, even in death, and decay. The colours have more meaning. It's like they're fighting to keep relevant, to, not become obsolete. I arranged the flowers (cut shorter) from the previous pictures, in a circular pattern on the bistro table in my backyard, then added 4 freshly cut blossoms from around the house. Can anyone name the 4 flowers in the centre?

I had to photograph this lovely charm necklace today, as the makers in France need a photo to make another "Tour Eiffel" for me as it's broken. And it was "on the table" so it can fit the theme for 114 pictures in 2014!
