Sunday in the house, after a long walk in the snow.

The last two stanzas from a recent poem I wrote.

Mine Tonight

Beautiful one, you’re the girl for me

My heart burns bright with expectancy

I’ll do anything to make you see me

Take my hand, step into my dream

Heart to heart, and dream to dream

Come be the storm in the calm of me

Your eyes, your smile, your loving voice

Please listen now and make your choice

Beautiful one, be mine tonight

The sheet music is a page from "When You Wish Upon A Star". The guitar has no strings. I rescued it from the dumpster at work. It's cracked where the neck meets the body. The piano rack, which is sitting on our new Mennonite crafted dining table, is from the last piano I deassembled at work.

I'm kinda in a I don't feel like saying anything mood, so, I'll, maybe post some more shots later with an explanation.

Decided to combine Christmas and Chanukkah in this photo.

'Don't hurry. When making tea you only have time. Let tea be a refuge, a genuine change of pace. Brewing your tea is part of drinking it and drinking part of your life. Let the tea gently stimulate you to reflect on how the smallest part touches and is touched by the infinite'.

My other world through my glasses

Or, is that, "Smile The Red"? Blue, really is my favourite colour, and taste, but, I do like to wear red. Dunno why. lol It's my introverted way of being extroverted, I guess. Red, also makes me feel thinner, and that's never a bad thing. lol

I deleted a poem I wrote, because, well, because I suck at this. Instead, let's just go with the whimsey of the photo.

Unbeknownst to the small gathering of minions, that early autumn evening, someone was watching their every move. But, he was a benevolent, not malevolent force. He was, of course, the Great Min. The one who watches over minions the world over, and brings them peace, and prosperity.

This is the table ornament I got to celebrate Autumn.

Everything that I came up for this theme... xD

This is the last photo for this photo challenge. Another year full of photos... :)

To be honest, this time I had major difficulties to be creative. Maybe because this year was so difficult... I missed my creativity almost during the whole project. Most photos were taken in a hurry and I had hard times to come up with good ideas. When I look back at all the photos, I do not feel satisfied. They are ok, but I know that I can do much, much better.

Maybe it's time for me to take a little break from shooting or maybe just to concentrate more on taking pictures of what I think is interesting and not to fulfil another theme...

Although I did enjoy the whole experience of taking part in a project with other wonderful and creative people from all over the world! Every time when I looked at the images of other project members I was amazed by how different but also creative and beautiful all the results looked like. It was a joy to do this project with all of you! We all can be proud of our accomplishments!

I wish you all a happy, healthy and successful new year... with many, many beautiful photos! Cheers!

Our Daily Challenge-On The Table

I haven't made a cake in ages. This one has lots of orange juice and zest in it. Even Stu liked it and he's not a cake person.

This is what a trip to the Bulk Barn got me...oh and some chocolate but I ate that!!

If you haven't done so, go visit my website www.amelieroy.com :) don't hesitate to give me any suggestion... xx

Sliders Sunday- HSS!!!

Tonight we begin the Festival of Lights aka Chanukkah. We will be lighting our lovely Branch Menorah and celebrating with Baked Latkes and Cabbage Rolls, Baked Chicken Wings, Apple Sauce & Sour Cream and a little glass of Raspberry Wine...sounds good eh?

Just for you, Barney.

I like the can, not so much the contents. We love eating outside and the weather has been just perfect for that.

The Flickr Lounge-Changing Times

It was time to dress the dining room table for Spring!

Most of my recent shooting has been inside, due to the abundance of ice and snow in the area. Conditions are so bad in the woods, and peoples' yards, that deer have taken to walking down the middle of streets in small herds. It's almost impossible to walk on the snow and ice, so it's understandable. I have a bunch of coloured pencils that I've collected as props over the years. These are some of them. A little colour for the long winter.

The little flowers in the jars are made of plastic. I treated them with UV spray so they will last in the hot sun.

It was a busy day in St. Thomas, today. It was the first day of the Great Lakes International Air Show, so aircraft were flying overhead all day. Then I set up the bistro table on the deck, and set up my camera with the big gun, in the house to shoot whatever came my way. What came was Blue Jays, Cardinals, Orioles (all in their baseball finery) and a host of squirrels which came in three colourings/shades. There was grey, black, and blacker. So, theoretically, 3 Shades Of Grey, I guess.

It's time just for me.

I was drinking a glass of Ozonated Water and the sun was setting and hit it and this is what I got. I thought it was so pretty.

"These are turbulent times in 1566. Wandering through history, Rien Poortvliet brings daily life in the low countries/ The Netherlands/ to life"

When we read a story, we inhabit it.

The covers of the book are like a roof and four walls.

What is to happen next will take place within the four walls of the story.

And this is possible because the story's voice makes everything its own.

Today is my Christmas day ... a very special day ...one of my favorite holidays.

We are celebrating Christmas for three consecutive days, beginning with Christmas Day. The Serbian Orthodox Church uses the traditional Julian Calendar, as per which Christmas Day (December 25) falls currently on January 7 of the Gregorian Calendar.

During this festive time, one is to greet another person with " Christ is Born " which should be responded to with "Truly He is Born"

P.S: Haven't I told you I love holidays !!! :)
