We tend to celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied ad multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

I cooked a Free Range/Organic Duck for Christmas Day and today I made a Hot Duck Sandwich. I put Cranberries on it too, I really enjoyed that!!!

Well, to be honest my lunch today is much more than I would have had if I was at home!! I was in Glasgow this morning and stopped off at Starbucks for a nice vanilla latte and a little something to eat!!

Yes, it actually is that time of year again. Time to get out the cookie cutters and bake. Strike that. Time to get out the cookie cutters and shoot. I can't stop myself. It's like the movement of a glacier. It's gonna happen, no matter what preventative measures I take. I scattered the shapes throughout a storage container after last year's shooting, but, alas, to my chagrin, I found them. Again. I find them every year. It's almost like they want to be found. Call me crazy (It's true, my mother had me tested) but I'm pretty sure (How sure? Only 107.67% sure) that there is a vast cookie cutter conspiracy afoot, possibly aided and abetted by pencil crayons this year. (Are they pencil crayons or coloured pencils? I dunno ,but one thing I do know-They are all evil.) JK

How many times have you gone shopping at a grocery store and were given FREE FOOD? I can tell you this has never happened to me before today. It seems these lovely Chestnuts hadn't even been priced so the produce guy gave them to me for Free!!! These are pretty expensive little morsels. We are going to roast them on the weekend and have a feast!
You're old if you remember that expression. Pencil crayons now come in tubes. Experience tells me that they still don't do what I want them to, and they will break the first time I try them. C'mon, somebody, it's time to make a better pencil crayon.
