perhaps this is one of my favorite situations of my work, when a hundred years of life in one click of the camera shutter.

The story develops by itself, it remains only to silently smoke outside the edge of the frame ..

"..The Old Rock has always been here. But there were many worries, and I looked through it.. When we are young we all run.. Now my children and grandchildren drive cattle themselves. Having grown old, I look at these stones all the days, sitting in front of the yurt.."

They are bound, the old rock, and the old woman. Bound in this desert for a century. Soon the woman will leave, and the eagles nesting on this rock will peck at her body in the desert among these stones, as her mother and father too..

In the corral behind the yurt, a small white kid is closed.. he always wants to run... And a little boy, great-grandson, constantly runs away from the old woman to him too,

He is dressed in the clothes of a small girl - Spirits should not know for the time being..

- he is the heir of this old yurt, near the Old Rock

The rain finally stopped and the sky had perfect "Simpson's clouds" - so I slid that sky and got this creation!

A house stood on this plot,, now at least three homes are going up. These are the backs of the new homes and the front is directly onto the pavement, so not homes for gardeners.

As seen on a walk.

Here's a handsome American Goldfinch (Spinus tristis) at one of our feeders.

Can't help it, when they arrive I have to take their picture.

I wonder what the plural is for sheep? One sheep in a field is a sheep: many sheep are still sheep! I took the photo with my old D700 in Bampton, Cumbria's Lake District. This area is genuinely sheep country, but it looks like this one is Billy no mates.

So... One last shot from this batch. Hopefully they will stick around all winter and I'l get back out there for some better flight shots when the crowds have died down. We do have quite a few scattered across the levels, so I'm bound to pick up the odd shot on my travels. Winter ducks next. :@)

2022 one photo each day

My keychain.

One and All is the motto that represents unity and inclusiveness and reflects the spirit of Cornish people. The fifteen balls (bezants/coins) on the shield is the coat of arms of the Duke of Cornwall. The bird is a chough and is a small, glossy black crow with a long, curved red bill and a symbol of Cornwall. The crown represents the Duchy of Cornwall. The miner and fisherman represent the trades of what once brought Cornwall much wealth.

This keychain holds my keys and reminds me of my Cornish roots day after day.

HMM!

One more night walking alone

One more night feeling cold

One more night needing to be strong

One more night pretending all is fine

One more night crying in the dark alone.

But one night, all this will be behind, hang in there...the light is bright over there.

When those red berries come in springtime,

Flushing on your southland branches,

Take home an armful, for my sake,

As a symbol of our love.

You've been on my mind

I grow fonder every day

Lose myself in time

Just thinking of your face

God only knows why it's taken me

So long to let my doubts go

You're the only one that I want

I don't know why I'm scared

I've been here before

Every feeling, every word

I've imagined it all

You'll never know if you never try

To forget your past and simply be mine

Nice weather for a cityscape shot. :)

Stopped at this beach for one last look at Mendocino before heading on down the coast.

If you drive north from Jokulsarlon on Iceland's Highway One, this is the sight that greets you on the left. Something out of LOTR.
