"One day they will come to tell you
how they believe in you, they love you
and how they want you.
Keep your mind on the child,
lock the door,
they are lying..
Someday gnostics will come,
educated and literate,
to convince you.
Keep your mind on the child,
lock the door,
they will sell you...
And when the times come
that the candle will be extinguished
in the storm,
defend the child.
Because if the child survives,
there's hope. "

Another shot of this lone tree near Oatlands, central Tasmania. This time with my 7D - the previous shot was with my 5DmkIII - coupled with a 400mm lens, you can really see the difference between full frame and cropped sensors (400mm vs 640mm effective focal length!). I prefer this version - I should use my 7D more.

The Brain—is wider than the Sky—
For—put them side by side—
The one the other will contain
With ease—and You—beside—
The Brain is deeper than the sea—
For—hold them—Blue to Blue—
The one the other will absorb—
As Sponges—Buckets—do—
The Brain is just the weight of God—
For—Heft them—Pound for Pound—
And they will differ—if they do—
As Syllable from Sound—
Emily Dickinson, ‘The Brain is wider than the Sky’.

Taken for Smile on Saturday theme ‘One Eye’. So glad I took my long lens. This animal was quite a way across a field.

Two people are putting together a compass.
One of them says, "Okay, I got the North part here, South here, and East right here". Then the other guy says, "where's the West of it?”

Hickson Road, Millers Point.
Near Dawes Point and 'The Rocks'.
View looking north across Sydney harbour to Blues Point (and the ubiquitous Blues Point Tower), McMahons Point, Luna Park, and the 'city' of North Sydney.
Photographed late yesterday afternoon, a little later than I had planned due to stopping to take pictures of a black Bentley I just happened to discover parked outside the Harbour View Hotel.

This one is a special photo of a special place (to me). It's one of the last, if not the last one show, that took place at Cinemarian, an old school cinephile corner here in Athens, before its forced relocation. A lovely small little place with lots of character, in the heart of Athens, special for artists, filmmakers, cinephiles and photographers. So long dear old Cinemarian. Thank you for saving the last dance for me...
PS. The photo on the screen is from a friend, Costas Giavis, and the shooting took place during the presentation of his lovely work.

Theme : "One Point Perspective" - January 9, 2021
This reminds me that today was the birthday of a very special girl. Her heart so pure. She wasn't able to do wrong, or hurt any one. She let our harts bleed when she died.
Never tied of looking since when?
There are no rules of architecture for those clouds, but one thing may be true.
Many of castles I built still there. Once I have tasted of it, I will look up always.
I saw this magpie on its own at Ham Wall RSPB reserve last Sunday. Maybe there was another one nearby but I didn't see her or him.

When I see your eyes,
I read one hundred and one Arabian nights,
When I see you, I see the shadow of Baghdadi genies,
I see the magical floating carpets...
Flying the sandy dune-like divine bullets,
Racing with stars and more...
