ve made a big step forward: i dare to copy myself. with a safe feeling to get a similar picture.
because untill now my drawings were kind of holly and not repeatable and not changeable. untouchable - taboo
wow, that's great - now - to know it and play with my drawings more carelessly.
I take some oneliners and try the tombo-water-technik on different papers. so that i learn as well how this different papers work.
Day 1-Imaginary Creatures Redux. I needed a kickstart to get back into the every day creative habit for the giraffe mixed media month, so I am retaking Carla's online class. I think my control has improved a bit in my one-liners. The blob giraffes took quite a a bit of "corrective" drawing to complete, as I tried to design a consistent style for all three. Not as easy to do as if they could be anything they turned out to be. I am striving for a cross between control and freedom.

I thought it would be funny to do a zine of one-liners. I love hand-drawn type, and I love one-line puns. LOVE THEM!
I'm thinking about doing a subscription of these, you pay one price and I send you a subscription of silkscreened zines of one-liners for the year. Let me know what you think. Would you buy it? It lasts longer than gas!
NO Conda, I've told you before, I am very good in oneliners, but not so good in filosofy, or intelligent conversations. I did the laundry, yes, I am busy finsihing the dishes, and after that I will clean the house. So when you're be back, we have to see about tactics. Peace darling, you're doing well in the far East.
for JKPP, I started with continous line with my ink brush pen. as I really enjoy thos one-liners for warm up and having just fun I do not look at the paper I am drawing at very often...like 80% looking at the reference and to adjust about 20% onto the paper. Afterwards I was used ink for the hair and some shadows and coloured with tombow markers. The white highlights were places with a correction pen.

Made for "2013 Year of the Giraffe". Yesterday I mostly made some one-liners. Mostly because I had to cheat on the second one. My paper was too small.... ;o) This giraffe would make a nice plush!!!

In Summer of 2022, I found two nice and cheap sketchbooks at a Dollar Store. I decide that one would be for my "drawing the body" exercices and the other one would be for my "faces exercices". In that exercice, you follow the contour of your face with one hand while you draw (eyes-closed) with the other hand. A very fun exercise. The colours have been added after.
