the green, loved, head of a chicken

I watched a william eggleston documentary the night before and was reminded that I shouldn't turn my nose up on portrait format.

SEEN:

An edition of our artists' book, 'The Kingdom of the Blue Poppy - As made for Sinclare' (2001) as housed in the collection at the SLV. Such a thrill to see the care they have taken with it.

A little more.

Taken on a Wednesday, uploaded on a Thursday... close. I also only just realized I scanned it askew. Oh well.

Beautiful Independence Day. Went walking to the lake with an old friend.

Wish I was there for a picnic lunch today. Blogged.

a bit of shadow makes anything look more interesting, non?

This is a corner of the back porch, where the ivy has overtaken the screens. The green diffused light is lovely, and the windchimes make a lovely sound.

it is more beautiful than less, this rust...

Today I made a snack of a pink navel, called a Cara Cara. The color wasn't as pink as I hoped, but it tasted pinker than a regular orange. Does that make sense?

Uploaded via Instagram ift.tt/2egWksK Well, dropped off my piece for the "Going Goth" show at the @orlandomuseumofart so after tonight, I can say my work has hung in a museum... which is a rather weird thing to say in my head. #thunderjaystudio #beloved #ghoststories #oma1stthursdays #onawednesday #thankshurricanematthew #seeyouat6 #orlandoarts #orlando #citybeautiful

These trees stand near the road. There used to be three when I was younger. Back in the days when we'd spend weeks up here, we'd have wash on the lines at least once a week.

My mother and I stayed up the road at our friends' house. They have lots of hummingbird feeders set up, and it's fun to watch the little birds buzz and dive bomb each other for a spot at the feeder.
