Arriving by post of late, two things that I would like to share. From Asphalt Tango Records in Berlin, a CD, Romica Puceanu and the Gore Brothers by way of thanks for letting them know that an image of Fanfare Ciocărlia was used on a t-shirt here (without their permission or knowledge). The other is a copy of The Life of Mr Mustache by Elisabeth and Camilla of Studio Violet. Both things made me smile ear to ear. Two unexpected gifts for which I am thankful.

FOUND & PURCHASED
The drive there passed quickly, the four of us nattering away at fast tempo, chomping on snake confections flavoured delicious banana and wild berry as we headed away from the city. Black car packed to near capacity, all bags, props of the day, legs and a cardboard tray of recently drained coffee cups. It may only have been an hour by car but it had all the familiar markings of a daytrip. A suitable jolt of something different, day broken in new pieces and perspective changed. I need to do this more often.
(Should you know anything of Tex Gordon and his Magic Bunny, we'd love to know.)
A blue curtain that cuts the breeze just a little.

SEEN:
'The Kingdom of the Blue Poppy - As made for Sinclare' (2001), with a neatly cut valley in the white archival foam for the strand of canary yellow beads to rest... leading all the way to the small magnifying lens. This is our smallest artists' book to date... 6cm x 8cm, and bound in silk.
the sunlight, as it comes through my bedroom window in the early morning, filtered through a bamboo shade.
What are the odds? I got stung by a bee on my left tonsil, walking along talking to my friend like you do. Suddenly something flew into my throat and I managed to cough it up. To my horror it was a dazed bee that had managed to sting me on his way out. Needless to say it hurt. A LOT. This was the souvenir he left behind. Tweezers rule.

I got tagged over on my funny eye and whilst I snapped away I noticed this handsome fellow. looked like he was about to take my picture with the icam.
Taken on a Wednesday evening from the driver's side window while at a red light. My friends live in the old rectory next door, which is lovely. I love its dome. I wish the street light wasn't there, but I like the pink roses.
