Guilty as charged!
Right in front of my nose, huge buildings, occupied by hundreds of families.
Downtown San Paulo, Brazil.
Few blocks from the City Hall, the Stock Exchange, the Central Bank among so many other fundamental, worthy and basic institutions.
In just one of the buildings, 475 families occupies 27 unfinished floors.
Kids play and run.
Clotheslines on the outside of the building, without any protection from falling down and in front of the entire city.
Windows, with breathtaking views, of one of the biggest and most populated cities on the Planet, made of compensated wood or sticks, even at the 27th floor.
People that use strength and organization to impose their reality, to a society that doesn’t care to listen.

On assignment for Canned Creative, capturing images for a corporate website; It was great to be let loose on a construction site. I could have spent a whole day here capturing images of men at work.

Looking for something timeless and true to New York. I think this is pretty close. And, because it's in black and white, it must be art! If I had shot it on film I could have got it hung in a museum... hahaha

Crif Dogs, Lower East Side, New York City, New York, USA.
On assignment for Changi Class Magazine.
I am posting this not because it is a great photo (it isn't) but because it was the only place we saw a little bit of New York roughhousing.
One guy buys a Crif Dog and sits down to eat it. He's not bothering anyone. Another guy, drunk, is talking to his pals while wrapping up their meal. Drunk guys finishes his beer, slams it down on the table in front of quiet guy. Quiet guy hulks out at the disrespect of drunk guy, washes his face with the beer can and takes the fight to the street.
Good times had by all, save for drunk guy.
