One of the frames from a photo shoot with Rebecca, my niece, for her business.
We were heading outside for more photos in Rebecca's garden, when I saw this light streaming through a window. I said "Stop! We have to take advantage of this light."
After this series, we went up to her office which has a large window with a couch in front of it. That brought out more goodness.
Light has to be appreciated in the moment when you see it. I took advantage of the late afternoon sunlight, diffused by the overcast sky. The quality of light was changing by the second, and with every move of her face.
Rebecca was so easy to work with. She accepted my direction with ease, and added her thoughts without hesitation.
I love this one bunches.

Villagers spreading their Tendu leaves on ground to dry it. After the mining, villagers won't get this byproduct.
During my short trip to document protest for Greenpeace India after the arrests of four activists of Mahan Sangharsh Samiti in May 2014, I also documented daily life, graffiti of resistance, tendu patta collection, trees which will be felled in case mining starts for them.

Looking back through my NYC images, something quickly becomes apparent; I have a weird fascination with taxi cabs. Could be worse, I guess. I could be fixated on the Times Square Cowboy.

Guilty as charged!
Right in front of my nose, huge buildings, occupied by hundreds of families.
Downtown San Paulo, Brazil.
Few blocks from the City Hall, the Stock Exchange, the Central Bank among so many other fundamental, worthy and basic institutions.
In just one of the buildings, 475 families occupies 27 unfinished floors.
Kids play and run.
Clotheslines on the outside of the building, without any protection from falling down and in front of the entire city.
Windows, with breathtaking views, of one of the biggest and most populated cities on the Planet, made of compensated wood or sticks, even at the 27th floor.
People that use strength and organization to impose their reality, to a society that doesn’t care to listen.
