Thanks so much to all who choose to look at and comment on my images. It's very much appreciated.
I really enjoy seeing the beautiful light of dawn. Retirement has allowed me the opportunity to experience some wonderful sunrises, like this one at Blue Heron Park on the east side of Windsor, Ontario. What I have noticed is how different the dawn light is between summer and winter.
It was a bluebird sky when we left for Squamish the other day, but I was happy to see this large cloud over the mountain to add some interest to the sky. This is the Squamish estuary - the tide was the lowest I've ever seen it.
Another few weeks and there will be a lot more green here - right now it's still kind of wintery looking.

My my my remember that place
Yea the whole thing started there
My my my back in those days
There was magic everywhere
Now all our friends are getting married
We're still acting like kids
I've been thinking about it
I just don't know when it is
When the world's moving too fast
Wishing it would move slow
If you need meditation
I know a place to go
If you ever ever ever need a break
I got a house on the lake
We could get out get out get away
I got a house in a little town
On the lake
My my my remember Sundays at the bottom of the hill
We would make plans just to break em we had so much time to kill
Living life in the city
Acting old while we're young
Said goddamn you're so pretty
I swear to god you're the one
But I don't wanna move too fast
I just wanna move slow
If you need meditation
I know a place to go
If you ever ever ever need a break
I got a house on the lake
We could get out get out get away
I got a house in a little town
On the lake
Capture taken on day 3 of previous NYC visit. The day started again early and I did use a taxi to get to Grand Central to take a few capture there. The plan afterwards was to move to Tudor bridge. Too bad, there was just construction works so I could not get on that bridge...so I went further to get to this place. Was a bit late for more blue in the sky, but now overall happy with this edit. Hope you like it too. Happy long weekend ahead....Thanks, Udo.

Praying Mantis
This one was visiting on this day last year. This variety is normally found further north in the deserts, hence the brown colouring.
Some fantastic Fly Agarics just next to one of the paths running through the National Trust's Longshaw Estate in Derbyshire.
An Eastern great egret (ardea alba modesta) prowling through a flooded rice paddy near Anuradhapura, in Sri Lanka - probably on the hunt for small fish or frogs.

The background is created using two Wombo images, one of which used my photo of Stonehenge as the input image. The source image, is then blended with the Wombo images. Final adjustments made in Topaz and Photoshop.
Thank you for taking the time to visit, comment, fave or invite. I really appreciate them all.

For today's theme "sequence/progression".
I took these photos a few weeks back but they came in handy today :) Evie on the beach, exiting the sea, wet and off she trots lol. It was tricky for me to sequence these, but I like the result.
On the Dunes - Donald Fagen
www.youtube.com/watch?v=QoVT3XcMVvk
Drive along the sea
far from the city's twitch and smoke
To a misty beach
That's where my life became a joke
On the dunes
On the dunes
(Became a joke on the dunes)
Where rents are high
and seabirds cry
On the dunes
As you spoke you must have known
it was a kind of homicide
I stood and watched my happiness
drift outwards with the tide
On the dunes
On the dunes
(Homicide on the dunes)
It wasn't fair
It's brutal there
On the dunes
Pretty boats
sweeping along the shore
in the faltering light
Pretty women
with their lovers by their side
It's like an awful dream
I have most every night
In the summer all the swells
join in the search for sun and sand
For me it's just a joyless place
where this loneliness began
On the dunes
On the dunes
(Loneliness on the dunes)
I'm pretty tough
but the wind is rough
On the dunes

Looking close... on Friday! :Pendientes
made by Clare
I must admit that I had fun creating this. First I decided that, having taken numerous shots of earrings for themes in different groups, I couldn't stand to take yet another so I wouldn't participate. Then I hit upon my selfie which is next to this shot in my photostream, before realising it hardly fulfilled the criteria. And so here is my effort, made by Clare and on the line - the logistics were not as difficult as I had expected and I managed to keep myself out of the shot.

I stopped by the lake, and very near the trail, I spotted this egret on the hunt. It didn't spot me, so I was able to shoot so close that I couldn't even get close to filling the frame with it. Sure had great concentration!
Whilst taking photos of the bowfiddle rock at dawn on Saturday, I was surprised to see a massive sailing ship on the horizon. A bit of research when i got home revealed it to be the Wind Star Cruiseliner "Wind Surf" which really is huge for a ship with sails. A modern take on a bygone age.

Llwyn-On Reservoir is surrounded by hills and forests in the central Brecon Beacons. Mr T and I stopped off in a lay by here on the way back from Cardiff to get a few shots of the beautiful reflections. :))
