This is a shot from my archives which has never been uploaded before for the Smile on Saturday theme of Sunset. I am a sucker for a lovely sunset and have got so many sunset shots that have never seen the light of day! HSoS! The shot was taken at Penclawdd - a super place for a sunset at high tide

I really enjoy seeing the beautiful light of dawn. Retirement has allowed me the opportunity to experience some wonderful sunrises, like this one at Blue Heron Park on the east side of Windsor, Ontario. What I have noticed is how different the dawn light is between summer and winter.

The small country road runs on the edge of some hills, here close to home, in Italy, the view is magnificent and worths a stop. I like to shoot the roads.

"Shine On You Crazy Diamond", was written as a tribute to Syd Barrett, one of the founders of Pink Floyd. He was also known as "The Crazy Diamond Syd". Barrett was a very creative musician and is considered one of the rock icons, with a strong influence on many artists, very especially to David Bowie. Syd Barrett is a key piece to understand the evolution of rock in the 70s.. Excessive drug use, especially LSD, caused him serious mental health problems. Syd Barrett died in 2006 at the age of 60. We stayed in the small town of Ross on Wye in Herefordshire for a few days last week , it was a good base to explore the area. We managed to visit Tintern Abbey, Hereford, Hay on Wye, the Forest of Dean and the Malvern Hills . All these places were completely new to us so it was an interesting few days This shot of Ross is taken from the banks of the River Wye

Taken yesterday in my backyard.

Capture taken on day 3 of previous NYC visit. The day started again early and I did use a taxi to get to Grand Central to take a few capture there. The plan afterwards was to move to Tudor bridge. Too bad, there was just construction works so I could not get on that bridge...so I went further to get to this place. Was a bit late for more blue in the sky, but now overall happy with this edit.
