This spirit, often identified with the hero Gilgamesh, who was a legendary figure but also a historical king of Uruk, probably incarnates the omnipotence of kingship: he is effortlessly overpowering a ferocious lion. The contrast between the roaring lion and the hero's imperturbable strength highlights his magical power. In his right hand he holds a ceremonial weapon with a curved blade, known as a "harpe," which is a royal weapon. The eye contact with the visitor has a magical impact.
I once spoke on the reality of the promises of God. Often we do not understand these promises. They seem too lofty and beyond our comprehension, and so we lay them aside without really giving the serious thought. But that is not God’s intention. He is back of every promise with His love and His omnipotence, and He was in great earnest when He made them. Therefore I believe that we are sinning when we ignore them or perhaps evade them by theologizing them away.

In Christian iconography, Christ Pantokrator refers to a specific depiction of Christ.
Pantocrator or Pantokrator is one of many Names of God in Judaism. When the Hebrew Bible was translated into Greek as the Septuagint, Pantokrator was used both for YHWH Tzevaot "Lord of Hosts" and for El Shaddai "God Almighty".
The most common translation of Pantocrator is "Almighty" or "All-powerful". In this understanding, Pantokrator is a compound word formed from the Greek words for "all" and the noun "strength" (κρατος). This is often understood in terms of potential power; i.e., ability to do anything, omnipotence.

Sharing an interesting theory in symbolic form using a one pixel cinema technique.
For some reason, Flickr decreases the quality of the video making it harder to read, so if you cannot, here is what it says:
"Long ago, the man formed an ideal conception of omnipotence and omniscience which he embodied in his Gods. Whatever seemed unattainable to his desires - or forbidden to him - he attributed to these Gods... Now he has himself approached very near to realizing this ideal; he has nearly become a God himself."
Let the sun shines everyday!!let the wind blows everyday!!!
where is the climate treat -that is man made and the fix is in the nature itself!!
"A living planet is a much more complex metaphor for deity than just a bigger Father with a bigger fist. If an omniscient, all-powerful Dad ignores your prayers, it's taken personally. Hear only silence long enough, and you start wondering about his power. His fairness. His very existence. But if a world Mother doesn't reply, Her excuse is simple. She never claimed conceited omnipotence. She has countless others clinging to her apron strings, including myriad species unable to speak for themselves. To Her elder offspring She says - go raid the fridge. Go play outside. Go get a job. Or, better yet, lend me a hand. I have no time for idle whining." (David Brin, American scientist and award winning author of science fiction)
I stop by to check on this mother duck often as she sits upon her nest. She is beginning to trust me and I even think she posed for me tonight!
March for Science Protest.
Science is impartial. Imposing fake ideals in lieu of listening is burying your head in the sand and thinking you have the omnipotence to work the world in your own image instead of using the tools you were given. "You must pay for everything in this world, one way and another. There is nothin' free, except the grace of God."

Feilai Feng, or "the Peak that Flew Hither", also commonly translated as "Flying Peak", is located in front of the temple proper. The peak is so-named because it is made of limestone, giving it a craggy appearance very different from the surrounding mountains. Legend holds that the peak was originally from India (with some versions suggesting that it is Vulture Peak, but flew to Hangzhou overnight as a demonstration of the omnipotence of Buddhist law. A large number of carvings dot the surface of the peak. More are located in various caves and grottos throughout the peak. Within the main cave, dedicated to the bodhisattva Guanyin, there is a crack in the ceiling of the cave that stretches up to the surface, so that a person standing at a certain position can see a sliver of sunlight. This is known as the "one thread of heaven" (一线天).

Alexander Lowen, MD, psychoanalyst and scholar known worldwide as the creator of Bioenergetic Analysis and for his numerous works on human behavior, including "Body On Depression," says: "There are two illusions that are very different in our culture - one related to money and the other sex. The illusion that money is omnipotent, he can solve all problems and bring its holder all the joy and happiness is responsible for the worship of money. Similarly, the cult of sex comes from a belief in the omnipotence of sex . In the opinion of those who share these illusions, the sex appeal, as well as money, is a power that can be used to open 'the gate of heaven'. For many people money and sex became the supreme deity. " A very simplified analysis of this issue raised by Lowen shows that both illusions, money and sex as a tool of power seeking, lead people to make the appearance as if the content, which causes a conflict of values represented by the ego and the body: "The ego thinks of fulfillment and pleasure in the body. The ego works with images, works with the body feelings. " Under this view, the resolution of this conflict only happens when someone gets to match image and feeling, or dilute the role of ego feeling, which probably will give you a balanced emotional life and healthy. The contrast, ie, when sentiment is subordinated or repressed in favor of the ego image, the illusion, the result is an existence fraught with frustrations, imbalances and emotional discomfort with unpredictable results. The same Lowen said: "Behind all illusion is a desire for freedom and love. The desperate struggle for individual freedom and love through the illusion. In his mind, power is the key to freedom and love. " The question that arises then is the following: How to overcome this illusion of power, aggregate money and sex? Of course, this would require a thorough analysis of the history of each individual holding this type of illusion, but at first power- One could say that both the sense of freedom and love must be experienced bodily, it must feel to be able to assess the extent of these feelings and you unlock the paths to thrive naturally and they are real. The point of this brief explanation of this issue is to cause an instant analysis on how to live and feel of each one. Since many were moved by many different reasons for being emotionally nourishing illusions may be doomed to live continually uncertain about what is essential to live well. What according to Alexander Lowen, means to be "continuously suspended between reality and illusion, something like living between life and death. " This situation is not desirable nor advisable for anyone who longs for a life full of real and lasting satisfaction.
Nuremberg Chronicle
By Hartmann Schedel
1440-1514
Woodcuts by Wohlgemut, Pleydenwurff, and Albrecht Dürer

This popular chronicle begins with Christ's genealogy and stories from the book of Genesis in the Bible, followed by a detailed discourse on monsters and ending with a world map, shown here. The monstrous beings depicted in the column alongside the map defied European notions of normality, bodily integrity, and the limits of human nature. However remarkable these monsters appeared, they were not considered supernatural. To explain their existence, Schedel followed Saint Augustine's argument that monsters demonstrate God's omnipotence and help us better understand ourselves and our place in the world.

The Triple Tau:
The compound character known as the triple tau is one of the Royal Arch’s emblems. A triple tau is literally “three Tau’s,” the tau being the nineteenth letter in the Greek Alphabet. The triple tau of Royal Arch Masonry consists of 3 Ts linked in the centre joined at their base.
This mystical character can be signified in a few different ways.
First, the names Hiram of Tyre and Hiram Abif appear in the Phoenican language with the same letters “H” and “T” as they do in English. Therefore, the Triple Tau takes on the interpretation of the initial letters in Hiram Abif’s name.
Second, it signifies also T. H., Templum Hierosolym, the Temple of Jerusalem, and when used as the Royal Arch symbol, some jurisdictions teach that the wearer acknowledges himself a servant of God.
Third, Christians in Greek or Roman influence anciently used a tau cross. The basis of a triple tau in early church history would mean the trinity of father, son, and holy spirit. A belief in the triune nature of godhead is common to many faiths and religions.
A triangle is a simple shape in geometry that has taken on great spiritual significance and symbolism. The equilateral triangle was revered by ancient nations as containing the greatest and most abstruse mysteries, and as a symbol of God, denoting a triad of intelligence, a triad of deity, a triune God. The equilateral triangle shows equality with its three angles of the same degrees. In one way, it best represents deity by its equality or perfection in design and proportion.
The triangle is a symbol of divine union, and an emblem of the mysterious triune, equally representing the attributes of deity, and his triune essence: omnipotence (all powerful), omnipresence (eternal) and omniscience (all knowing).

1. In anticipation of a greater, idealistic and desirable human society that we ought to have in this new millennium, we should
construct a beautiful, affluent and rewarding society for everybody in accordance with the spirit of our times embodied in
internationalization, democratization, informatization, and humanization.
2. By sweeping away all the irrationalities and immoralities which have roots in the excessive belief in the omnipotence of the
materialistic world and science-technology, we should bring about through the development of human-centred information society
a more humanistic, culturalistic and welfaristic human society.
3. As the masters of history and civilization, we the human race should construct a society of cultural beings through the
achievement of true democracy as well as a universal democratic society which will guarantee both freedom and equality under the
principle of co-existence and co-prosperity for all the people.
4. By replacing the outdated naturalistic norms for the survival of the fittest with the culturalistic norms for the humanistic moral
characters and by discarding exclusionistic, hegemonic and self-serving egoism we should realize a global common society for
mutual cooperation and mutual benefit.
5. Dedicating ourselves to the historic task of the new millennium which calls us to bring about a bright future for mankind, we
should join together with the Neo-Renaissance Movement for the construction of a human society of lasting peace based on the
principle of equal rights for all the nations of the world under Pax United Nations, rejecting any world order like Pax Romana.

It had been raining in the night and I took Dilbert for a walk right after the sun came out for a moment. The dew - or rain - drops were gleaming in the sun. So beautiful, so fragile, so perfect. The scene reminded me of the conversation that took place between God and Job for a long time ago. God questions Job and reminds him of God´s omnipotence: He is in charge of everything. He is even the Father of dew drops. Therefore He knows what He is doing - also in our lives.

Elizabeth Catlett, Which Way from I am the Negro Woman, 1947, lithograph, 14.5 x 10.5 inches
If we were to blow up one image from our collection and display it prominently on campus, it should be “Which Way?” by Elizabeth Catlett.
Catlett’s identity and achievements make her an ideal figure for exhibition on campus. By featuring her work, we would promote the idea of prominent women in society, as Catlett was such a one in the domain of art and education. She bore both American and Mexican nationality, and she was of African descent. Therefore, she is an icon of multiculturalism, and that is a value shared by the university.
The aesthetic qualities of “Which Way?” also contribute to its merit as a publicly-displayed work of art. The image is centered and symmetrical, and this allows a great deal of flexibility as to where it can be posted. Also, these qualities are reminiscent of any logo, and a logo is a single image that stands for something big. Choosing one image to blow up and post on campus is similar to creating and using a logo, because it will represent the whole exhibition. Therefore, this image would make a good logo.
The piece depicts a woman’s head looking in three different directions at the same time. The woman’s near-universal field of vision can be read as omnipotence, and that can be generalized to an individual’s inherent value and potential to overcome any challenges. This characteristic of self-reliance is something that the university would encourage all students, faculty and staff to have.
We should display this image at a central location on campus that gets high traffic. We should put it in the Bayou Building somewhere near the intersection of the main public entrance (in front of the big sculpture outside) and the atrium. This is the main entrance to the main building on campus, and many people who visit for the first time probably walk this path. Placing the piece there, people would see an iconic image when they first enter and feel intrigued by it. Also, the image is titled “Which Way,” and this, coincidentally, is a question that many first-time visitors are probably asking when they enter the building. So, viewers would be able to relate to the image’s titular message and feel comforted.

Surrealism is a cultural movement that began in the early 1920s, and is best known for the visual artworks and writings of the group members.
Surrealist works feature the element of surprise, unexpected juxtapositions and non sequitur; however, many Surrealist artists and writers regard their work as an expression of the philosophical movement first and foremost, with the works being an artifact. Leader André Breton was explicit in his assertion that Surrealism was above all a revolutionary movement.
Surrealism developed out of the Dada activities of World War I and the most important center of the movement was Paris. From the 1920s onward, the movement spread around the globe, eventually affecting the visual arts, literature, film and music of many countries and languages, as well as political thought and practice, philosophy and social theory.Surrealist Manifesto
Breton wrote the manifesto of 1924 that defines the purposes of the group and includes citations of the influences on Surrealism, examples of Surrealist works and discussion of Surrealist automatism. He defined Surrealism as:
Dictionary: Surrealism, n. Pure psychic automatism, by which one proposes to express, either verbally, in writing, or by any other manner, the real functioning of thought. Dictation of thought in the absence of all control exercised by reason, outside of all aesthetic and moral preoccupation.
Encyclopedia: Surrealism. Philosophy. Surrealism is based on the belief in the superior reality of certain forms of previously neglected associations, in the omnipotence of dream, in the disinterested play of thought. It tends to ruin once and for all other psychic mechanisms and to substitute itself for them in solving all the principal problems of life. (Wiki)

On Sunday a heavy cloud bank in the east snuffed out the sunrise but as I made my way back up the trail I was delighted when the sun poked through with such soft, diffuse light that it revealed every detail in the feathers of the birds and the spines of the cholla. I turned around and commanded the sun and clouds to hold their position for the next hour, just in case I had been granted the power of omnipotence without my knowing. Sadly I had not, though there's always tomorrow. I was able to watch as the thrashers chased each other through the cholla, the black-throated sparrows chittered about, three cottontails poked in and out of the desert scrub, and sight unseen Gambel's quail and Gila woodpeckers sang the Sonoran song. Just another magical morning in the desert.
