On March 13, 2010, students from southwest Washington middle and high schools participated in Science Olympiad, hosted by Lower Columbia College.
Students competed in a wide range of scientific fields, from anatomy to forensics to engineering.
Winners will move on to state, then national finals.

The finest event of the Year - the Chap Olympiad 2012.
Use my old Minolta Autocord although it seems to have developed a light leak! As it has no light-meter I generally guess the exposure. Which sometimes is fine.. and sometimes.. well hum, sigh.
My theory is, that in the past most people wouldn't have a light meter so by guessing it I should create pictures closer to what normal people would have taken. It is rather tricky though not to wish I'd secretly taken a reading.
I've also made a black and white version of this which works a little better.
That said these colour pictures have a early colour photography feel to them.

complete in academic workshops. Students have gone through much preparation, commitment, coaching and
practice all year for this event. Competitions are related to a multitude of studies such as Genetics,
Engineering, Technology, Thermodynamics, Physics, Anatomy, Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry and more.

complete in academic workshops. Students have gone through much preparation, commitment, coaching and
practice all year for this event. Competitions are related to a multitude of studies such as Genetics,
Engineering, Technology, Thermodynamics, Physics, Anatomy, Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry and more.
