In my "hood", watched this old tree grow moss over the years. Always admired her. Enjoy your weekend!

Old Tree Trunk with Cavity being rejuvenated

(1 in a multiple picture album)

This is the other side of the road from the preceding picture. CA Hwy 395 between Ridgecrest and Bishop is a most beautiful route. There are ranches all along and views like this of the east face of the Sierra Nevada.

I wonder how long this old fella tree has been standing there braving the winds and snow.

On a tour of Wollaton Park, Nottingham today with a local dendrologist, this oak tree was identified as being at least 350 years old.

FWIW, the owner of this property maintained that his tree was a Cherry tree. Not sure about that, and if you can identify this one definitively, please post a correction. Much appreciated !

This is the 2nd shot of this tree in my photostream. I uploaded one after last years trip to the conservation area. I love the shape of it.

The Angel Oak Tree in St. John's Island, South Carolina.

Oleaster - wilde Olive - oleastro

The wild old olive trees, Olea Silvestris of Santu Baltolu di Carana, are located at the shore of Liscia Lake. The oldest one has a trunk 20 meters round. To surround the trunk 12 people arms are needed.

According the dendrochronology made by Sassari, this natural monument of almost 4000 years is one of the oldest trees of Europe.

This is another shot I had hide an external drive. Wanted to try a different style of processing. Happy Saturday.

This has more of the forest. The texture of the old tree on the right adds a lot to the fantasy like setting. Mount Katahdin can be seen in the distance. This is in Northern Maine. (image m1a2866) Please also visit: acadiamagic.com.
