On a beautifully foggy late morning, this house came into view. Soggy, and soooo quiet except for the flock of crows playing in the ancient orchard out back. The structure looked for less than sound, so I peeked through the window but didn't venture in.

These two seemed to have a tiff that evening. The one on the right was sitting on the branch already when the other one landed with the fish. They proceeded to glare at each other and wave their wings about a bit, then the bird with the fish flew off.
I assume these two are the pair that has been hanging around the inner bay for a few years now, but not sure which is the male and which is the female.

Banyan Tree, Mysore, Karnataka, India
It is said that you could very well rest an entire army in the shadows of a Banyan Tree. It is the national tree of India. It grows enormously and lives for over 300 years. This tree was near Mysore, India. It must not have been that old. When I was shooting in the shadows of this tree, I found that the tonal ranges were enormous and so I opted for HDR.

The tree is more than first a seed, then a stem, then a living trunk, and then dead timber. The tree is a slow, enduring force straining to win the sky. ~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry,

Cool sight last night (2/20/15) with the crescent Moon, Venus, and Mars in between them, all in tight proximity. Photographed at Fremont Peak, CA.
I tried to get shots of the blowholes at Punakaiki on the West Coast of New Zealand. High tide was after sunset, so I waited. There wasn't enough swell to activate the blowholes so I drove north and saw an amazing silhouette of an old twisted tree. I stayed the night here.
