Dating from the 13th Century, King John's House was once the main building in a major medieval complex.
Not as old as it looks. Many (not all) of the 'Tudor' buildings of Chester were constructed at the beginning of the 20th century. Many buildings were "Tudorified", and that's when the 'typical' Tudor style emerged.
